Oven won't heat up when baking (Maytag MGR5775QDS)

My oven will not heat up when I set it to bake. I set it to 375, hit bake and wait. I can hear a couple clicks, but the gas doesn't "fire up" like it should. It acts as if it has reached the required temperature so it doesn't fire up to heat more. I know this one has an igniter, but I'm not sure if that's it due to the fact that a cleaning cycle works fine. The cleaning fires up the oven fine and heats it enough to perform the cleaning properly. The broiler also works fine. Is there a separate igniter for the broiler/cleaning process? If so, that narrows it down to the oven igniter, right? If not, what could it be? Perhaps a thermostat? Thanks in advance for your help!

I checked and it's not on an auto timer or anything like that. I even left the oven unplugged for an hour to reset everything. It still will not heat up when I turn the oven on, but it will to clean.

Check the Manual/Auto Clock setting to be on Manual not auto . The Oven is waiting for the Right Time to start up .

Miele oven can't be set to bake at 375 degrees

The default for most Miele oven is 375 - however this is an earlier model oven that only allowed (as yo said) ten degree increments - I am afraid that there is no solution to that.
370 or 380 would be your options

Baking & broiling elements won't heat after baking element burned out and was replaced.

the surge from the original element burning out has destroyed the control board if you can't hear the relays on the board clicking when you power up the elements bake or broil then its either the low voltage side of the board,if you hear clicking then the relays are working but the contacts are burned out and can't pass the current to heat the oven or briol elements

We have a Maytag gas oven and it takes close to 30 min just to preheat to 350 degrees, however the broil setting works great. Any help would be great...

The problem beleive it or not is that the bake igniter is weak ,and it is not drawing the proper amprage to open the gas valve. If you have a amp meter access the wires to the bake igniter(usually behind the storage drawer) and check for 3.3-3.6 amps when oven is set to bake by clamping the meter around ONE wire wire of igniter make sure only one wire, either one and not both.
if amp draw less than 3.3-3.6 amps replace bake igniter. I know it seems improbable that if the igniter comes on that it could be the problem.Professional appliance technicians who would charge a average of $250.00 to repair your oven, have found when the igniter comes on yet the oven won't heat that a weak igniter is the cause 100% of the time

The oven preheats, but then "cools down" before I

Most likely the problem is your bake element. When the oven is preheating it uses both the bake and the broil element. When it's done preheating it uses only the bake element, so the broil element is heating it up, and since the bake element is not working the temperature drops until it starts preheating again.
