I am trying to install the software for a new printer deskjet f2280 it was running the install and we have a message saying to checkwith you re Fatal error and MSI UnloadSupport - "An error occurred during the installation of assembly Microsoft.VC80.ATL processorArchitecture="x86". publicKLey Token="1fc8b3b9a1e18c3b", version="8.0.50727.91, typec"win32". Then says please to refer to you. Please can you suggest what to do it has got through 3/4 of install, many thanks Audrey
Fatal Error Msg continues to pop up about 3/4 way thru install of HP D7460. Msg says go to hp.com for troubleshooting info about "fatal error" and "MSI.UnloadSupport" I've done that over and over again. No help.
I have the latest drivers from the HP web site.
Their tech help is no help.

In order for you to install this printer to your computer without the setup CD , you need to download the software that you need , this is the link where you can download it.
Unistall any pevious printer software. Try to use windows drivers. If not, search only the suitable driver for printer (you can use 2240) but the driver only, not the entire hp suite.
Don't Worry you have the right disc.
The printer you have is of Deskjet F2200 Series and F2280 Is on of them.
Although the printers are segrigated but the Printer driver and software are the same for the F2200 Series.
There are alot of fatal error messages. You need to provide the exact fatal error message.
Here are the basic troubleshooting for that type of error :
1. Turn off your firewall, anti-virus and spyware and then install it
if it will not work
2. Download the software for your printer in the website www.hp.com/support make sure that you are going to download and install the full feature of the software
