Battery problem ,no back up -lenovo 3000 N1000

I hav found problem with my Lenovo 3000 N100, i had taken it one year back.i m not at able to use it without charging, i hav to kee it charging on while working.can u suggest me solution

    i have d same problem. i have purchased the lenovo laptop 3000N100 AQ1 model in august 2007 from nehru place at CHAMPIONS shop. Within 5 months its backup came to 25 min and now it has COMPLETELY gone i have to work on AC only. on specifican it shows SONY manufacturer. please tell me is it lenovo product which are defective and what is the solution of this. will my lap damage without backup??

Sounds like an overheating problem, remove the side casing and check for fan rotation on all visible fans, most likely the cpu fan, however, the fan itself may not be faulty, check all of the cabinet for dust build up and remove, could be reducing airflow.

Lenovo 3000 Notebooks : N100 Power Failure!
Hi.. I have a temporary solution to your problem. I had the same problem. Remove the battery and the ac adapter from the laptop. Just reconnect the ac adapter without the battery and switch on the lap. Presto.. Problem solved.. It doesnt power off anymore unless u remove the ac adaptor. Usefull if u hav needed files n want 2 create a backup. Still i havent found out a permanent solution to this problem. I suspect its a motherboard fault
