I re-intalled windows vista and sypnatics pointing device driver but the AV mode bar sensor iis not working. What driver do I need to install to make it work. (Sony Vaios VGN-CS108E - Vista x32)

It's probably not supported Sony.
You can try and downgrade but you might lose some functionality. I downgraded my Vista Gateway laptop to XP but had to spend a lot of time tracking down drivers that would work correctly.
You won't be able to just pop in an XP cd and install. You'll have to jump through a few hoops.

Since you have a newer laptop your hard drive uses sata drivers which the XP cd doesn't have built-in.

Have a look in device manager
Press the Windows key (bottom left of the keyboard} and at the same time press the R key, now in the search box that appears - type devmgmt.msc
have a look under imaging systems click on the + sign and see if you have a Camera listed
Also on Sony they should have supplied an application for the camera
maybe called ArcSoft WebCam Companion - see if you have that program folder - listed at all
