Power Acoustik I am trying to install a power acoustik gothic amp and the red light on the amp is on. When I touch the ground wire to the amp the red light goes off but nothing happens. I am not sure what the problem is. I have tried to find a manual online but no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Power Acoustik amp

First thing to do is check the fuse. If it is still in good condition then you may have blown your amp

You can make sure no wires are touching an also tried wiring in a mode that does not put it at its maximum ohm load.

Amp keeps blowin the two 30amp fuses on the amp.

Make sure that the speaker wires are wired correct at both the amp and the speakers......otherwise it sounds like the typical death of a power acoustik amp (great amps, but prone to a premature death)

Power Acoustik G320-2 Gothic Series

If you're geting no lights on the amp, you need to confirm that you have voltage at the amp. If you haven't done so yet, check the on-board fuses.

With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amp (not on the point where the ground wire connected to the vehicle) and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red lead alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. If the voltage is below ~11 volts, you need to check the wiring feeding whichever line is too low.
