You need to be on a digital channel, standard TV will show in the middle of the screen, like letterbox. If you're using an antenna, go to channel 2.4. if you have cable, go to a higher number channel (on fios, channel 2 digital is 502)
U have ur tv original remote look for a button like ViewMode,Aspect Ratio,Picture sizes,Picture Zoom.Tries pushes one of these buttons a couple times,u should able to changes ur tv pictures sizes.
I had a similar problem after having a Vizio for 2 and a half years. I
left the room for a minute, i came back and the screen went black. I didnt hear an arcing sound though.
There was still power to the unit and you could see that the back light
was working, just no picture, no sound, and you couldn't use any of the
buttons. The only way to turn it off was to unplug it. It would then
start up, with the Vizio logo going from orange to white, and then do
the same thing all over, no pic or sound. I would check the ceramic fuse first on the board that gets power from the plug.
HOW I FIXED MINE: I ordered a new "main PCB" from tigerdirectparts.com
(you can also use searspartsdirect.com). This is the circuit board with
all of the inputs on it (hdmi, cable, etc.) I opened it up,
disconnected the old one, put in a new one and now it works fine.I used
both serial numbers on the board to search for it online. It cost me
$144 to do it, but that's better than $450 for a new TV. My tv is the
vx32l hdtv10a. I hope that helps.
my fiance fixed it. he has this really expensive remote that he programmed via a USB port and some fancy fingerwork that I can't even begin to explain :D and I was able to change the channel back to 00
Thanks for the offer but we cannot afford to pay additional money for something the Factory support service Should provide.
From what we have heard through the Verizon installer, our SANYO LCD TV probably does NOT have a Automatic picture adjust system. That would most likely be the reason for the maunual button on the remote control. The troublle is that with the FIOS service, you do NOT use the TV's remote control. That leaves to switching back and forth between two different remotes wiich can be vary confusing for someone that is not 88 years old.
It is bad enough that you have to remember which channels you have to go to to receive HD programming signals. If I were making a TV set, and or running a TV network/ cable service, I would transmit both HD and regular signals on the same channel number and let the TV and or the decoder box figure out if my set could display High Definition. Isn't that what we spend lots of money buying equipment and paying each month for service?
If anyone out there knows if the SANYO 32 inch LCD TV sold at Wal-Mart automatically adjust to the picute format, (PIX 1-4) we sure ould like to hear from you.
I have purchased KLV-40W400A Full HD but I am not satisfied with the picture quality. When the issue was raised sony is putting blame on Tata Sky and vise versa.
Kindly suggest.
On the verizon FIOS tv box, turn the FIOS STB on, and turn on the tv, tap the following buttons on the Verizon FIOS STB )in this order) 1-Power, then Select, then Menu. This will bring up the FIOS STB HD options. Arrow down to 4:3 Bypass and set the bypass option to 480P. Hit power 2 times, once to turn off, second time to turn STB back on. This should on standard channels give you the zoom feature back. This worked on my Samsunf 5053 TV model.
It ended up being the Verizon Fios box. We recycled it and the picture stopped rolling. Thank you for being here to help. If I have any future questions, I'll definitely use your site.
