Colored lines and rectangles

I get these lines on my Samsung HL-R5667W when I turn it on in tv mode. When I switch to component 2 the picture is okay ,but it seems to be locked in zoom mode,picture is large and extends beyond screen.
I have tried resetting and turning off power,unplugging cable,etc. I can't seem to rectify the problem, please help

    I have a samsung HLR5067WAX-XAA it takes a few seconds to turn it on and when the screen is on goes to colored lines and rectangles I switch to any other component and the screen goes to blue and the appears the problem except with the HDMI it works perfect just that.

Sounds like a problem on the digital board. try hard booting (unplug for 2 minutes) to reboot the microprocessor. if no resolution, look for a new board part # bp94-01859f if your model # ends in WX

Sounds that tv got color wheel problem that will be replaced.
If you are handy with electronics stuff repair then replace color wheel in light engine of tv to solve its issue.

Samsung DLP turns on and off - cycle repeats
make sure put the lamp door back before trying to turn it on because they have switches on them that allow the tv to turn on. If that is ok you probably have a bad ballast.
Call a local tv repair shop to further diagnose the problem.

Samsung DLP HL-R5667W, seeing little boxes of static flashing
samsung color weel replacments are all the new air bearing type insted of fluid type. if you replace the new color weel , color will look bad. also note when ordering your replacment make shure it comes from samsung and not just a generic model.
the original replacement will come with a set of instroction to reset the dmv ajustments.
find the dmd pcb and look for a2 jumper that is visable through a small squaire remove the jumper. then folow instrustions with new color weel.

Samsung HL-r5667w TV shuts down on its own.
You may have a colorwheel going bad. The bearings start going out and this is an indication of the failure. The colorwheel is located in the light engin e therefore you may want to get a qualified tech to look at it

Color Wheel problem.. to generate colors on a dlp the light is shine through a motorized wheel. that has different color filters on it. this is a motor and anthing that moves will eventally wear out. i just replaced the color wheel on a samsung today. standard for this to go out in about that time. i believed our shop charged 250 to put a new one in.
