We have a Bunn Dual commercial unit tapped directly into the city water. When filling for the first time in the mornings the machine makes a LOUD knocking noise. This does not occur after the first six or eight remote canisters are filled. Maintenance has replaced the fill valve - no help. Any ideas?

Sounds like water hammer. There is a small (very small) water hammer minimizer built in the Single and Dual brewers. If your looking at the water valve there is a small 1/4" copper tee with one end sticking upward. This usually has air trapped inside and tries to soften the water pressure as the valve open and closes. There are larger ones mounted in the bigger urns like the U-3 brewers. Though it's easier to have the plumber install a larger one at the mains to take care of the whole restaurant.
* It is possible to replace the copper water line (to the brewer) with a reinforced flex hose that will take up the initial pressure of water hammer but if you are running high water pressure then there is a danger of the hose bursting. Might be better to go with an armored hose (those used under sinks)
* There is one more thing is the water probe is getting too sensitive. Have the tech replace the water level board. He will want to do this as the constant clicking of the water valve will cause it to fail (like in a month or less)
* High pressure can cause sloshing in the tank. This creates waves in the tank but normally the water level board will ignore this splashing on the probe. Have the tech check and clean the probe anyway. It may be possible to reduce the flow rate to the brewer (thus the water hammer pressure) by adjusting the valve that supplies the brewer. Be sure to have the Tech label the valve as someone is sure to come along and open it wide again..

PS; double check if the valve is rated for your water source. Hot water supply requires a different valve (it's bigger too.). Most come with the standard cold water supply rated valve. ukeboy57

SOURCE: will not agitate or spin, makes loud noise during those cycles

Sounds like coupling gears between transmission and motor... they did away with the belt and went direct drive with coupling gears. It can pump water out but nothing else. water pump is mounted to front of motor is why it will pump water out.

SOURCE: Nespresso D300 says "Fill Water" even after I have filled container.

Even if you fill the tank with water, the machine will display this message when it is empty inside (the pipes, heating element, etc.) You need to prime it: run some water through it by running the steamer/hot water wand.  That should take care of it.

I have a Bunn dual satellite brewer, model 20900.6007, 120/208, and i'd like to use it in a trailer with 120/240, is this something that has been done by someone on here already?

Bunn, DUAL brewers are large volume (1-1/2 gal per thermal Dispencer.) In most commercial VAN operations there is a requirement to cook and assemble food in a sanitary food approved kitchen or process plant. Brewing would be done at the kitchen. To use this type of brewer would be to get enough 1-1/2 gal servers to cover your needs for the event. Brew everything you need in the morning and just take the servers to the event. I remember waking up at 4 AM to brew 25 servers for big events. We even did a mid morning run with another 15 servers. You can also install low wattage warmers designed for the servers. I suggest two warmers to keep regular and de-cafe hot. The rest can be set aside. Some servers will stay hot enough for up to 4 hours.
* Installing the brewer in the van has problems with keeping the water level. You will need a "Boat kit" to allow for sloshing water. You also need a pressurized water tap. Power is rated at 220-240 30 amps. (40 amps if your at 200VAC)
* Check with your local coffee vendor for advice.

My bunn coffee maker leaks at the bottom. Can you tell me what to do

Okay no model given,
* Pour over brewers only leak if over filled (more than a pot). If it leaks just sitting there then there is a hole in the tank. Call for service or replace.
* Commercial machines like CW, CWTF, Single, Dual, Urns, are plumbed into a water line. Leaks may come from the water line, Tank, or urn.
* If the water leak is clear and not hot then it's the water inlet line.
* If it's hot then the heater is leaking,
* If it's coffee colored then it's the urn where the coffee is being brewed.
* In All cases call your vendor for service as this is a hazardous situation. Unplug or turn off the power to the unit. It should be on a large throw switch near any large brewer. Have maintenance turn off the breaker and leave of till the vendor can service.

Commercial bunn brewer is making loud buzzing sound

see the next steps and fix it yourself. God bless you
  1. Unplug the unit from the electrical receptacle.
  2. Remove the pot and basket. Remove or tape closed the water reservoir lid.
  3. Turn the appliance over and remove all screws that secure the case halves. Lift off the case to expose the heating element and controls.
  4. Inspect the control cavity to determine if the solution is simple: disconnected wire, debris, etc. If so, fix, reassemble, and test. Otherwise, continue with the next step.
  5. Use a DVOM to test the heating elements and the switch, thermostat, and timer
  6. Replace any defective parts or decide to replace the appliance, as appropriate.
  7. Reassemble the appliance and reinstall the pot and basket.
  8. Fill the water reservoir approximately half full, then plug in and turn on the coffee maker to test its operation.

Not making ice

check for a stuck float switch. located near the water pump. Usually white plastic with a tube on top and a black boot at the bottom. Tap on it lightly while unit is filling with water. If that works, you need to disasseble and clean.

Three times this month, we come into the office and there is water all over the place from the coffee maker. It was turned off. Help!

It may have been turned off but was it unplugged?
If yes then the problem is the solenoid has a slow leak.
If no then the water level probe needs to be cleaned.
