This usually means that the magnetron circuit has failed. The magnetron is the part that generates the microwaves to heat the food. Typically the problem is the magnetron itself that has died. The cost of replacement comes close if not more than a new microwave oven. Unless the oven is still under warranty, it not worth fixing.

the purpose of the turntable is to more evenly cook the food. it shouldnt effect the mics ability to cook, just might take a little longer to thoroughly cook food

HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT TRYING TO BUY A USED ONE AND TAKING THE BOARD FROM THAT ONE AND PLACING IT IN YOURS ?

Did you or the the repair man do a hard reset?

Thefirst thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for aminute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

Let us know if the hard reset does not fix it.

Plus, I'm assuming your model is actually MMV5186AA, right?

The only motors would be the Magnetron fan cooler and turntable. Is there no heat at all?
