They are available but meant for the models that have that part on the middle board. There are a few models where chip is on a side board--instructions would still apply but you would have to do some things differently.

There should be a diagram somewehre in the tv set itself. If not, do a diagram search on your model number on your television, and it should show where those chips are.

The red and blue convergence wont set correctly how do i set them right i have red bue and green outlines in my picture on the tv

What needs to be done here is to replace the two STK-392-570 CONVERGENCE IC'S that this set uses. I have seen this in hundreds of sets just like yours.

Total parts cost will be under 25 dollars and if you buy local double that or more.

I have available for free, start to finish, step by step instructions for this repair in the set you have.

They tell you everything you will need and how to do the repair.

If this information is of interest to you rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.

Also make a comment here indicating you want the instructions.

The picture is out of focus and showing double images in different colors.

If picture looks 3d and will not adjust in the customer menu (convergence) the STK-393-110 this set uses is bad.

This is quite common and the part on EBAY sells for about 15 dollars.

The good news is this can be a do it yourself repair. I have available start to finish, step by step instructions for this repair in this set---takes about 1 hour.

Let me know if you want the instructions and I will get them for you for free.

If this information told you something you did not know or helped you rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.

Getting double image, red, blue, can fix temporary with remote by lining up all the color. I have Mitsubishi model WS-55859 .

Model indicated uses a single Convergence IC----STK-393-110, ABOUT a 15 dollar part on Ebay.

A lot of these sets had problems where the pins break loose INSIDE THE CHIP--causes the kind of problem you are having.

Good news is I have start to finish, step by step instructions for this repair in this model----it can be a do it yourself job.

Most shops get well over 300 for this repair--if able to do it yourself, total parts cost will be under 30 dollars.

I can post the instructions here or if you have a email send to you-----they are free.

Picture is distorted blurry

Model number indicated is prone to convergence problems; red or blue shadows around writing or letters---

The model indicated uses two of the STK-392-570 convergence chips; they are located on a large metal heat sink with fins at the front of the middle board inside the set.

The board has to be removed to replace them.

A pair of the chips can be purchased on EBAY (where I buy mine) for about 15 dollars-----total parts cost to fix set should be under 25 dollars.

I also have repaired hundreds of these sets and have:

Start to finish, step by step instructions for this repair in this set; they tell you everything you will need and exactly how to do the repair.

I can if you request post the instructions here for you for FREE.

I will attach a photo or two of typical convergence problems so you know if it is your problem and a photo of a typical convergence chip.

If all this information helps you, rate this solution as very helpful here as I do this for free.

My t.v looks double red leters

This model uses a single STK-393-110 convergence IC.

If red is skewed and or bowed etc the chip must be replaced.

It is located on the middle board and can be a do it yourself repair.

Part will cost about 14 dollars on EBAY.

I also have start to finish, step by step instructions for this repair in this set. They tell you everything you will need and how to do the repair. They are based on my experience at doing this repair in hundreds of these sets.

Let me know if you want the instructions, they are free and I can post them here for you.

LOOK AT ATTACHED PHOTOS AND TELL ME IF THEY LOOK FAMILIAR.

THE MODEL INDICATED USES TWO of the STK-392-570 CONVERGENCE CHIPS.

We have a WS 65511 with an error code 2,2. What does it mean and how can we fix it?

I am a expert on these sets and have fixed hundreds of them.

2,2 is short protection and 97% chance one or both of the pico fuses that protect the convergence circuit are blown (bad).

Model indicated uses a single STK-393-110 convergence IC. The fuses and chip are on the middle circuit board which needs to be removed to repair the set. Total parts cost will be under 25 dollars---I use a seller on EBAY who has the chip and the fuses.

I have start to finish step by step instructions for this repair in this model as I have done it hundreds of times.

Soldering and some skill are involved in getting the board out and replacing the parts.

let me know if I can assist you or if you have questions let me know here.

Red lamp convergence is off center

WS-55511 uses a single convergence IC chip---a STK-393-110.

IF convergence is off and will not adjust it needs along with any of the 3.9 ohm resistors that protect it to be replaced.

What happens in these and most projection sets is the chip is mounted on a large metal heat sink with fins to keep it cool----a white grease is applied to the back of the chip to quickly transfer heat--after some years the grease dries out from the heat and the chip fails.

Considering you can buy the IC on Ebay for about 14 dollars plus shipping (I can tell you the best seller there to look for) if you or someone you know can do the repair you can save the set and a LOT of money.

Most shops are going to get 300 or more for this repair.

I ALSO HAVE START TO FINISH, STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS REPAIR IN THIS TYPE OF MITSUBISHI!

IF you need the instructions etc, let me know and I will post them here--I am here to help people.

I have repaired HUNDREDS of these sets with this kind of trouble.

The picture shows double

WS-55511 USES a single STK-393-110 convergence IC.

If convergence if off and either blue or red will not adjust in some direction--The chip and any of the 3.9 ohm resistors around it that protect it--will need to be replaced if they are bad.

Most of the time--just the chip needs to be replaced and the set adjusted.

I have step by step, start to finish instructions for this repair in this type of set.

If you can do the repair, total parts cost will be under 25 dollars--you can buy the chip on Ebay and the resistors are easy to check.

I have photos of the resistors and the instructions tell you everything you will need to do the repair.

If you cannot do the repair--most shops are going to get 300 or more for it---if you go that way make sure you get someone to do it--it should be able to be done right in your home--takes about 1 hour--I know as I have done HUNDREDS of these sets with this problem.

If this information helped you rate this solution as I do this here for free.

If you need the instructions let me know and we will find a way to get them to you....
