Recently our 2year old Zabussie condensor TCE7127W has started to stop the programme that is selected through a failure to start turning the drum. We can get it to work once me remove some "threshold" portion of the load. It should run with 6kg's of clothes and has never had a problem with large loads before.
Is it a motor problem?
Is it something else?
Can I DIY fix it/investigate it as it is out of warranty?
Any ideas appreciated
It is very likely to be the condensur,or it is called a capacitor ,device for storing electric charge to boost the starting of the motor under load.in other words change it.UF will be wrote on it maybe 10 uf .I feel wasted on this site its so easy .
You would buy for about $10=€7 ,but anyway put a live and neg across the two spades connections on the capacitor 220 V.ac current ,you would have to remove it from the dryer ,one nut, then disconnect it from the current ,and cross the two connections on the capacitor if the capacitor gives off a good spark its OK if it thos not it is f**ked

Wow, thanks for this.
The condensor is the thing that cools the water, the capacitator sounds like something to do with power.
Is there a way to test this solution by testing the old part somehow?
Thanks
Big thankyou, just pulled it out and got no sparks at the shorting procedure and certainly no charge or tingling when I picked it up! I'll order a new one.
