My kindle fire won't connect to wifi but my laptop does

You can also configure it with below method.
Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method. Then click on WAN settings set it as your internet service provider settings enable DHCP Then click on wireless and enable it. . Then click on wireless->wireless security->WEP security there is code password note down it or enter new password then save setting s and restart router. then you can connect wireless with new password. Before you start :
The Following Steps Should be done on the computer that is connected to the router (Plugged with a cable)


Step 1 : Make sure you have internet access

Step 2 : Open Router Setup by typing http://192.168.2.1 in the address bar of Internet Explorer

Step 3 : Once you are at the router setup .. on the left side underneath Wireless you can find Wi-Fi Protected Setup

Click it

Step 4 : If it is asking for a password .. leave the password field blank and click submit

Step 5 : Disable Wi Fi Protected Setup and click apply changes

Step 6 : Now on the left under wireless click Security

Step 7 : If it is asking for a password .. leave the password field blank and click submit

Step 8 : Change the Security mode to WPA-PSK (you can also choose WPA-2 but sometimes it doesnt work )

Step 9 : Type a password (8 Characters , It is Case Sensitive)

Step 10: Click apply Changes

Step 11: On the left , Under Wireless Click Channel and SSiD

Step 12: Change the SSiD to a Different name , Change the Wireless Channel to 11

Step 13:Click Apply Changes

Turn On the Wireless Switch on the Computer (If you are using a Laptop to Connect between router)

Now try to Connect to this new network on both your wireless Computers and Ipad
