...I guess if you don't have an internet connection or wifi card that attached to your computer then there's nothing you can do...you probably need a CD driver for your network card...you could borrow your friend computer or laptop and browsing in internet and search for your network driver and put it in your flashdisk or burn it to a CD...

first, you can go to the adapters, in the network settings, turn off the wireless adapter, wait a bit and turn it on again.
or, you can try to go to device manager and delete the driver of the wifi card. after that just do an refresh and it will reinstall the default driver

DOESN'T DETECT WIFI

The wireless feature on a Gateway computer allows you to connect to a network without the hassle of cables. This allows you to browse the Internet conveniently wherever you are. Gateway computers rely on Windows operating systems, which come with a built-in feature to manage your wireless connection. This feature makes turning off your wireless connection an easy process if, for a moment, you prefer to connect to the Internet using a wired connection.

Click the Windows "Start" menu and click the "Control Panel." Click Network and Internet Connections > Network Connection, if you are using a Windows XP Gateway computer. You should see your wireless connection. For Windows Vista and 7 Gateway computers, click "Network and Sharing Center" from the Control Panel and click "Manage Wireless Connections." You should see your wireless connection. Right-click your wireless connection and click "Disable" to turn it off. Close "Network Connections" when you are done.

Windows doesn't detect a properly installed network adapter

It means either the Network adapter driver is not installed or the Network adapter is faulty or there isn't a Network adapter installed on your computer.

My Toshiba L505 ES5018 FN keys is not working

Hello. It's possible the driver for the wireless card(network interface controller) was not installed properly. Try to download the drivers from Toshiba website and install on your laptop. You may get the WiFi Driver from this link
http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/modelContent.jsp?ct=DL&os=&category=&moid=2520800&rpn=PSLU0U&modelFilter=L505-ES5018&selCategory=2756709&selFamily=1073768663

There's two WiFi Driver available, try to use the Realtek first and if it doesn't work try the Atheros. If WiFi driver installed correctly you should no longer see the "!" symbol and you will be able to enable wireless on your laptop using FN key combination.

Hope this works for you.

Cannot determine a wifi network

Hi there. First of all try holding your laptop near your router and see if you can find anything. If this doesn't help it could be several things. It's either your router not working or your laptop not detecting the network.
If possible try using a different device to see if the network is detected. if it isn't, there's something wrong with the router, which i'm not gonna go too deep in because it could be a wide variation of issues. The easiest thing to do in this case restoring your router to factory settings by holding the reset button on your router for 20-ish seconds.
If the network was detected by another device, try checking if you accidentally turned off the wifi by pressing a button (This happens very very often). try looking for a button on your keyboard or somewhere else on your laptop that turns your wifi on/off and see if you can find the network now.
If you still can't find the network, try making sure your wifi drivers are installed, you can install them with a disk that came with your laptop. Try repeating the previous laptop-related steps and see if it can find the network now.

I hope I was able to help.

Hawking HWDN2 won't detect wifi networks when installed in a Macbook. However, it works fine on a WinXP PC.

That is because the macbook can't interface with it. Windows is a much more common OS than OS X, therefore most manufacturers focus on providing windows drivers. On top of that, Apple doesn't like to support things that it didn't make(and overcharge you for). So there is no driver for it on OS X, therefor the macbook has no way to communicate with it.

The switch to turn on the wireless connection doesn't function properly/won't turn on. Even if it has been restarted already.

Hi Kate.Wifi can be turned on Windows (or Mac) via settings as well. You don't have to use the button. In Windows go to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing center > Connect to network.
But you have to install drivers from your notebook manufacturer first. Should came with your notebook on CD disk.
