What are the best picture settings for the 52" Sharp Aquos LCD

I was just wondering what the best picture settings as far as color and picture size are the best for the 52" Sharp Aquos LCD?

I also would like to know what the best pictures settings are. I just got a Shart 52" and the picture is not as good as it was in the store. I know that stores tune them the optimum settings for stores (and they also play movies or channels that make the picture look really good). But is there an optimum picture setting for home?

Yes, I have the same damn problem! I got the Special Edition 52" and really I'm very dissappointed with the picture quality. It did look good in the store though which is why I bought this model. I hope Sharp is reading these comments. Luckily, I have the model that can connect to the internet so Sharp will be tuning these settings next week.

Select AV Mode Standered / Dynamic you will get good colour and contrast. Don't keep Back Light on high keep it in middle.

shaprness +2

although I found this setup but haven't tried it yet

backlight +5
contrast +24
brightness -7

No red color in my tv picture

Unplug the TV. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds, repeat. Plug it back in and turn it on.
Have you checked the settings? It might be that someone's adjusted the colors.

Size of screen

If you have black panel os sides the picture is not HD. Not allways the HD broadcasting have HD shows. The advertising for example is not HD. Check the picture size in the tv to be "allonged" and play with the screen size with your cable box remote. Usually is # button.
From what I know LC42D62U has no TV Guide feature.

52 SHARP AQUOS

Either bad connection with the LVDS cable, defective LCD controller, or even a defective LCD panel. Can you post pictures?
