Is the AMIBIOS ver 1.21.12. a candidate for an update on this board? I know it is old but it still runs for grandma to surf and play old video games. I have upgraded the video card and ram. These hardware updates helped the machine a bit but I think a BIOS update is still in order. I don't see any issues yet but I just have the XP SP3 OS and drivers installed, no other software. Does anyone have an opinion? If so let me know.

If this is your RAM:
Corsair 1024MB Value Select PC2-4200 (533MHz) DDR2 RAM, 128Mx64non-ECC, 240-pin DIMM, Unbuffered, CL4, Lifetime warranty (VS1GB533D2)
Then it is high density. You need low density to work, look for one ending with an 8, not 64.

The Palit card is a PCIE fitting whilst your board needs an AGP graphics card
This board supports 8x (3.0) AGP, so you should find a card to suit easily
