My front load washer is leaking water during the spin cycle

When I pulled it out to look at it the floor was wet on the left side only about 1/2 way back. What all do we need to check to stop it from leaking?

Remove the top and look at the drum assembly. There is a seam in the middle on the outer shell. Check the seam for any gaps. I've seen on mine that the screws appear to crush the the plastic where they screw in, and a gap opens up. All you should have to do tighten the screws. But be prepared to do it again in a year or so.

It sound like the hose that goes to your water pump under the tub might be loose or the pump is leaking. I hope this helps you out

My Kenmore 800 series washer leaks from under the front left during the spin cycle. I looked behind it and checked the connections but all seems fine in that area. What could be causing this?

Same problem! Flooded the laundry room and about 1/4 of the basement. Happens randomly, not every load. Checked all hoses, they are snug and don't appear to be leaking at all. During the wash cycle it you can hear it spraying water inside the washer and the floor starts flooding. I bought the washer Sept. 19, 2009 and have had this problem for about 5 weeks now. Sears refuses to do anything about it, because it's no longer under warranty.

Leaking water on spincycle

I have the same problem with my washer. The problem just began a few weeks ago. It is splashing out the front left corner of the tub and running down the inside of washer and then leaking out the bottom of the frame. It is just enough water to be annoying. The washer is about 6 years old.
Model: FAV6800AWW
Serial: 11277017EG

Any ideas??? Help!

Leaks

to jim, you may want to check the water pump closer, sometimes the water pump will leak a little during a cycle and the water will leak somewhere on the floor, not necessarily near the water pump.
to the second post (guest), it sounds like you have a bad water valve. the valve is not closing properly and causing water to leak thru.

Walking Washer

due to weight and normal motion during wash/spin a very sturdy floor is necessary under front loads also some floors are a little slick and sliding may occur ck for weak floor and maybe some kind ok rough cushion under feet to reduce sliding also if on pedistals even more vibration may occur be sure all screws in pedistal are secure usually 4 from top onto bottom of washer also adj legs to lower unit as close to floor as possible and tighten lock nuts
