A four wire service out to the fuse box would be required.

SOURCE: 3 combination arc fault breakers tripping under load

What is happening is the white wire that comes off the breaker is probably too close to another neutral or too close to a hot wire that is on one of the other circuits that will make it trip when you use a drill etc... Check to see if the coiled up white wire off of the breaker is not near a hot in the panel. I have had lots of arc fault breakers trip for that reason.

All the outlets and lights in the garage quit working. We know the fuse in the box is working and cannot find a GFI on the circuit. We tested the wires and they appear to be hot. Any ideas?

All newer construction will have a gfci on circuits run outside (including garages) find the gfci it may be under the house. If it's a breaker it needs to be switched off fully then switched on, sometimes breakers have popped but don't show visible signs
Good luck
Most saws have breakers some also have online fuses check it out

WHERE IS THE CIRCUIT BREAKER FOR THE MICROWAVE AND THE WALL OUTLETS

Good morning Richard.

The location of the circuit breaker will depend on the house, or building that you're in. Generally, they will be all together, often in a stairwell or a garage/basement wall that won't be obstructed. If the electrician followed code, the breakers should have labels on the inside of the breaker panel door, telling you which breaker or breakers service the kitchen. Often, if the microwave is an installed type, it'll have it's own 15 or 20 amp breaker.

Good Luck!

Dedicated 20 amp outlet

Ideally you should run the line straight from the circuit breaker out to your hot tub, but if the line running from your circuit breaker to the box you're using now is 20amp. you can absolutely connected to that. to be up to code it cannot be an open box it needs to be closed After you wire in your 70ft connection. (that's assuming the box that you're using is dedicated already to your hot tub) then the only difference would be is your using extra line and costing you tenths of a penny extra and electricity per hour.

How do I run from a 100 amp main panel to a 60 amp subpanel, 125 from my house to the garage

See 60 Amp sub-panel image

Above image shows drawing of 60Amp sub-panel located next to main panel. Drawing shows #6 wire... 125' distance to garage calls for #4 wire. I ran #4 to my barn and have no problems.

Give thought to how many new breakers you want at garage.
See photo of subpanel that holds three 240V breakers

Using drawing as a guide. Replace existing 240Volt breaker with new 60 Amp breaker. Two hot wires connect to new 60 Amp breaker. Neutral connects to neutral busbar.

More space: You can free up space in main breaker box using a tandem breaker. Or by doubling up 2 lightly used 120V circuits onto one breaker. Do not double-up on 240 Breakers

Conduit: You want PVC conduit large enough to fit three #4 wires. Bigger conduit is easier to pull wires ... and maybe later ethernet wire, or alarm wire etc.

Ground wire: You can put a ground rod at garage and run #6 bare copper between sub-panel neutral-busbar and ground rod. Attach ground wire firmly with grounding clamp.

I want you to check with local electrical supply for exact code in your area concerning conduit requirements, grounding, and wire size. Tighten all lugs very tight against wire.

it is not a part of the dryer but a panel in your house, usually in the basement or garage. sometimes they can even be in a closet in smaller homes.

Want to install a 3 way sw from house to detached garage. Want to use the old wire (4- one hot, one white and 2 black)that run under groundnder from house to garage. How can i do this?? Thanks

Not sure this went through the first time...so here it is again.

You will not have to tape the white wire since you already have 2 black wires...but I would put a piece of tape on one of the black wires so you will know which one you are working on.

Installing a Dayton G73

How many amps is your service? And what gauge wire did you use for the heater?
If your service is only 40amps that is your problem. You don't have enough amps for the heater and the rest of your house, you will have to upgrade your service.
