Had same issue. Emptied dishes out of d/washer, disconnected power, tipped forward, stood up, reconnect power, switch on and run wash cycle. Perfect!!
DW60CE dishwasher - E6 fault flood switch activated.
After tipping the dishwasher on its side & it releasing its water from its tray, the fault cleared. I removed the bottom cover & inspected its internals for traces of a leak or evidence of leaking.
I could follow the calcium or detergent trail from the rear water duct connection near the top feeding sprayer arm, down the back of the dishwasher & into the tray. The lock nut on the duct where it enters through the inside S/S skin had become loose & simply needed to be tightened.

Yes, you need to gain access to the inside bottom panel of the dishdrawer and drain/dry the water in the bottom panel. When all of the water is gone the polystyrene block will lower and turn off the flood system. You then need to find the reason the unit flooded and rectify it or the unit will just do the same thing again.

Remove the bottom drawer by pressing in the tabs on either side of the drawer (bottom edge towards the front).
Dry out the compartment with towels and let air dry.

Hello there:
here is some ideas that will help you clean off the flood switch thatis causing the error
first unplug the power going to the machine
If you by accident overloaded the top drawer
and this will allow water to get into the base an trigger the flood switch. which causes the error that you get .
Take the
bottom drawer cover off first then took the whole drawer out and gently
manuevere it to where u can get into the bottom of the unit.
use a
towel and dry up any visible water.
use few paper towels to get into
and under tight spaces.
now Take a blow dryer and blow the in the base for about 10 minutes. once there is No visible signs
of water any where
put it back together and it should work . ok
Hope this is very helpful for you
Best regards MIchael

Turn the power off.
Open the drawer as far out as possible. get a towel and hair dryer and try to dry the base of the cabinet.
Turn power on and see if fault goes away. If not then you may have to repeat but get the drawer out from the cabinet.
Causes can be several - water leakage from the inlet or drain hoses, kink in the drain hose or broken actuator link that keeps the hoses taut when you pull in/ out the drawers.
