Try to adjust the convergence menu Blue looks dim and RED is very sharp. The center of the + screen is clear but the sides are dim. The convergence IC's was replaced with no significant results. Any idea as to what might be the cause. Your thought is very appreciated.
Sincerely,
Rey

So the screen shows nothing, you just see an LED? It's likely just a burnt out bulb in the projector lamp. These should be easy to check and replace, it's really no different than changing a lightbulb in a lamp.

I second the post from Guest on march 18, 2008. I ran into this page and this was the exact problem i had. I thought, i should try this given the other solution, meaning calling in a professinal for 300 dollars. Anyways, the part Guest said to order worked perfectly. I installed it myself and it was easy. Took about 2 minutes. The works great now. And that website is really reliable. If the part you order ends up not working, you can return it for a full refund. Good job Guest, you just saved me about 300 dollars on repairs!!

once you get in the convergence mode with a Samsung remote 7,8,9 buttons allow you to adjust each color--presume the green will adjust and you adjust it first to get all the lines straight and then come back and adjust the red and blue to it; only one other nasty possible problem---the DCU(digital convergence unit that stores the Adjustments) could be bad---no way to tell until you try to adjust in the tech menu--the Samsung remote I use has a data save button--this saves the adjustments after you make them--forget the idiot who suggests you change the flyback transformer.
