Er Co means:
Short or open of lead wire
connecting between main PCB
and display PCB, transmission tr
and receiving part.
In other words, there is a communication problem between the main board on the back and the dispenser board. Could be a bad wire or connection on either board or one of the boards is bad. This link http://136.166.4.200/contents/Fridge/LRSC26922xx/LRSC26922xx_Service_Manual.pdf will give you a gerneric service manual for an LG fridge. It would be impossible for me to tell you for sure what the problem is without checking it but I would suspect the main board on the back. Hope this helps.
This first thing I would do is remove the panel on the back of the fridge to access the control board. It should be about half way up on the left hand side if you are looking at the back of the fridge. There should be four 1/4" screws to remove. In the middle of that board there should be a reset button. Press that button then let me know if that worked.
SOURCE: Control Pad displays Er CO.
The Er Co error code signifies a communication error between the display control board on the freezer door and the main power board on the outer back panel of the refrigerator.
Check the wiring and connections between the low voltage interface and the main high voltage board.
If you are able to unplug the refrigerator and remove the cover over the control board on the back of the refrigerator,
you can check the wiring connection on the main control board.
If this wiring connection is okay, check the wire harness connection under the hinge cover on the top of the left hand refrigerator door.
If these connections are okay, then you will need access the wire harness connection in the dispenser.

Mr. Fridgetech,
I appreciate your very fast reply
Thank you for all your help.
I removed the control panel, pressed the reset button.
There was only one button to press.
Heard the fridge motor kick in, but nothing changed.
The fridge still works, but will not make ice or discharge water
and the dispencer panel still reads Er CO.
I took some pictures, hopefully I can get them to you.
Hope you can still help me out, you deserve a high rating
