Popping noise I have a Hitachi which is about 7 yrs old and its starting to make a popping noise and the screen goes black and white for a second. The noise happens every 30 minutes. Will the condition get worst if not immediately fixed? Thanks

Does the " popping" noise come through the speakers or from the TV chassis ? If it is coming through the speakers you could have a bad solder joint somewhere in the tuning circuit. If it is a snapping sound coming from the chassis, then you probably have something arcing in the high voltage circiut. If this is the case then you should have it checked out since this can cause other parts to short shutting down you set completely.

My Viking electric oven is 7 yrs old and recently when I preheat oven , it makes a pop sound ? Is this dangerous?

since it is electric, there should not be any popping noise or sounds. Since everyone has their own idea of what a sound is, I would look into this as it could be an electrical issue of some shorting or arcing.

TV made a big popping sound, and then a crackling

Hi,do you hear any strange noises? If you hear clicking or like wanting to turn on it could be the board that powers the lamp it's called the ballast. Here's the instructions to replace it :http://www.fixyourdlp.com/guides/samsung/bp47-00033a.php That crackling sound could be of the color wheel:The color wheel is a rotating disc that has a gamma of colors it spins at high rpms. The light of the lamp goes through it to create the colors on your tv.When it starts to go bad you will get color distortion ,black and white picture and sometimes you will hear humming noises. But if you don't hear any strange noises,tv is around 6000 hrs,2-4 yrs it could be time to replace the lamp. The lamp you need is BP9601073A you can find original here:http://www.discount-merchant.com/Samsung-BP96-01073A-lamp-p/samsung-bp96-01073a-lamp-oem.htm?Click=48173 .Have a blessed one!

Loud popping noise and spark coming from red projector

I would guess you have a High Voltage Leak at the Anode Lead Cap where it Mounts to the CRT. This is not a area to mess with You are better off calling a professional to fix it. It may be a little difficult to confirm if it is a intermittent problem.
Hope this helps,

Hitachi 51g500

Sounds like flyback shorting out and shutting down high voltage, causes TV to turn off for protection.

I would send in for repair cause this is big $$$ cost!

RCA 27" TV F25432

You apparently have a high voltage arc. Possibly the anode lead to your picture tube. Also the flyback transformer could be arcing. If you're not experience with tv repair, you need to have a tech check it for you. The circuits operate at very high voltage and if you get into it you can get a possibly fatal electrical shock.
