After restore my iPhone with iTunes it shows error like "The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported"

Unlock Cell Phones
Your cell phone may be locked to a particular cell phone provider and in this case it needs to be unlocked to use with a different cell phone service provider. To get the security code/restriction code to unlock the cell phone from the current cell phone provider so you can use the SIM card with a different phone provider, Please click on this link and follow my instructions :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r4049238-unlock_cell_phone If your phone provider does not help you then these WEB sites it provides security codes for a small price. http://www.mobileunlockstore.com/?gclid=CKDb2_y2558CFSlJagodxBkDHw http://www.mobileunlocksolutions.com/ http://www.superunlockcodes.com http://unlockcellphonecode.com/

Iphone keeps telling me my SIM card is not recognised. I take it out and then put it back in. It gets recognised initially, but sooner or later (1 min - 1 hour) it will go back to not being recognised....

Try This:
1. Remove Sim Card
2. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until Apple logo appears
3. Replace Sim Card
4. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until normal phone screen appears.

Also, Try this:
1.) Shut down the iPhone 3G.
2.) Start up iTunes
3.) Hold down HOME button on the iPhone 3G
4.) While keeping the HOME button depressed, plug in the Sync cable
5.) A message will pop up to ask if you want to reset.
6.) Just click YES and the reset process should start.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Thanks, Joe

Tried to restore my iphone 3G OS 3.1.2 in the itunes. after the restoration process was complete the following message appeared " the SIM card inserted in this iphone does not appear to be supported" "only...

do as it says you need a valid SIM to restore an iphone and it is possible to have a SIM go bad. There is nothing that can be done until your sim is infact working and valid and it MUST be an AT&T sim no other sim will work for restore.

Hi can u help with my iphone 3g. it is stuck on invalid sim and emergency mode. how can i get this off? and is there a way to unlock a iphone 3g 3.1.3?

Here is what you have to do. Get a friend that is on the same carrier as the sim card that is in your phone.

Next take your sim card out and put a friends (same carrier) sim card in and restore it. When it is done it will still be in emergency mode. When it says invalid sim put your original one back in it and after about 30 seconds it will go back to normal.

This solution just fixed my iphone 3g so this should work.

Best of luck, Michael Proctor

I ugraded my iphone(3G) from frimware 2.1.1 to 3.0.1 then when i started my iphone the itunes it is telling me that the SIM cards is not supportted

Hi. I do this all day.

there are a few things you can try:

1- Restore it to factory settings and when its done dont restore from the back up instead set up as new iPhone and then Sync your info, contacts, Apps, music ect...

2-get a new sim card from your carrier

3-update itunes to 9.0.1 and update iPhone to 3.1 if all else fails and wait for DEV team to finialize 3.1 jailbreak

IPHONE SHOWING INCORRECT SIM AND ASKING FOR APPROVED SIM

This was attempted on 5.11.2008
Hi I was using ziphone with 1.1.4 firmware and wanted to use Quickpwn 2.1. I restored my Iphone from I tunes by clicking and holding SHIFT then hitting restore in I tunes and after it rebooted it asked me to insert original sim-card. I inserted my pay as you go O2 sim-card, which it was happy with. I went to upgrade to 2.1.1 firmware but it asked me to upgrade to the latest I tunes. After updating I tunes I then uploaded the firmware 2.1.1 I then followed the procedures exactly as explained from QuickPwn, everything worked fine. It came to the end which also unlocked the phone but when putting in the unofficial sim-card, it said “Please insert original sim-card.
