After the tv is on for about 2 hours we loose the picture and it goes to a grey screen that says unusable signal.The sound stays on. It is getting worse. We have to turn the tv off for about 1/2 hour before it will work again. We have direct TV with Tivo. Please Help.
I am not familar with that particular set, but this is what I would check (assuming you don't have a surround sound system hooked up to it as it would sound like a tuner problem otherwise). If you have external Audio/Video jacks with cables hooked up to the Direct TV box, move the video cable and see if you lose video when it is jiggled. If so, you either have a bad cable or connection/connector. When you say you have to turn the TV off for about 30 minutes, do you leave the directTV box on? If so, then the problem seems to be with the TV. Otherwise, maybe the direct TV box is at fault -- leave the TV on and turn off the cable box for a half hour and try it again. You have a few possibilities here, good luck.

I had the same problem with our tv - but now our tv wont turn on at all. there is no sound no picture but itstarted just like the above. first the picture would turn black and white then the picture would go black. but it still had sound. now we have a tv that we used less than 6 months that doesnt work at all. does anyone know if this was a defect in this model # and how can i fix it
We have three of these and all but 1 have done the same thing. We have another model also, which all 3 died after 3 years.
