Will a computer with 10/10 LAN connect to my wireless LAN?

I have a LINKSYS wrt54g wireless router connected to my main computer. Will a second computer with an internal 10/10 LAN detect my wireless system or will I have to purchase and install a LINKSYS wireless converter in the 2nd computer?

Thanks!

The 10/100 LAN is a wired connection. If it is connected to the wrt54g through an ethernet cable yes it will see anything on the wireless connection but if you want the computer to use a wireless connection then you will need to get an 802.11B or 802.11G wireless adapter. The wireless adapter does not have to be Linksys but it does generally make thing easier if you use all the same brand.

I want to change the channel my Linksys is using. So I went to Internet Browser and typed in my IP address. It said I need a Username and Password. Where would I find that.

Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. Then configure wan settings and lan settings enable wireless if you want to use wifi Then save settings and restart router Then connect cable from internet service provider to WAN port of router and connect ethenet lan cable from computer to lan port of router. . If you are not able to access router with above user and password then yo need to reset it. For that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router.Then configure it again with above method.

Need download for other computer to be added on

To add a second computer, take an Ethernet cable, and connect it to one of the LAN ports on the router, and to the network-port on the second computer;
there's no need for any "download" to make this work.

If the second computer has a wireless adapter, then click 'View Available Wireless Networks', and click to connect to the network.

It appears the connection between the Linksys and the modem is not working.
Try a different LAN cable.
Check the LAN cable from the modem to the Linksys, it should be connected to the WAN/Internet port on the Linksys.
