  • If the car is a Chrysler product and just cranks but won't fire, it could be the fusible link. On Ford and GM cars the car will not even crank if it is bad but on Chryslers it will just crank. I don't know about imports.
  • Other possible sources of fuel related problems are a collapsed fuel line(depending on how old the car is) or plugged filter. Before you drive yourself nuts trying to locate the fuel shut off that the fellow described on the ranger.....it's been my experience that is only on ford models(you don't say anything about your make or yr)in the trunk in cars. Good luck

Fan not working

I would check my fuses and relays first with a fuse tester. it cost almost nothing to check and may very well be the problem. if all is well try replacing the switches first as it's cheaper than the blower motor. if the switch isn't the problem return it to the store and get a new blower motor. I would think though if you have done anything at all electrically such as stereo etc.etc. it may be a fuse or you forgot to plug something back in

Where is the blower motor relay on the 1994 Ford Econoline. The fan is going one speed - SLOW. I replaced the blower motor, because it was squealing, but that never solved the problem. I'm thinking it's...

On your vehicle, if it works on low speed, that eliminates the fuse, the blower motor relay and the blower motor resistor. All of the parts of the resistor must bee good for it to work on low. The relay supplies power to the motor and the controls provide the ground, so if the motor runs at all, it is not the relay or the fuse. The only thing left is the switch. Fords are bad about burning the wire connector that conects to the switch. You will most likely have to replace the switch and the connector. Both of these parts are widely avaiable at most aftermarket parts stores.

My the fan on my 05 impala does not turn on

I think you need to check the blower motor first,
using a test light locate the blower motor,it will be behind the glove box under the dash,Turn the key on and the fan switch on,now check the wires to motor,One will be black thats ground,Check the other it could be red or blue,if your test light lights up its the motor.

Blower motor for heater only works on high....what do you think I need to change. Relay or Resistor.

If the heater only works on the high setting, your problem is the heater fan resistor, not the relay.

Blower doesnt work

Ok, this is either a bad resistor switch or, a blown motor. you can test the blower motor by using a volt meter or multimeter as well. In most cases, this will be a bad resistor switch.
