SOURCE: Frigidaire Top Load Washer Won't Agitate FWS645GFS1

Sounds like something slipping or an actuator to the transmission not functioning fully if it cannot take a load. Not all machines use belts but rather direct transmission via gearing etc.
Something may be worn in the transmission.

SOURCE: LG Washer leak, small tear in door seal

Follow these steps to replace your door seal:
Disconnect all power to the machine first!!

1 Locate the outer clamp band securing the seal to the door rim on the washing machine and examine it carefully for holes or tears. Many can be prised off with a flat-bladed screwdriver they have a spring system holding them, but some have a tensioning arrangement that has to be loosened.
2 After removing the outer clamp band, locate the inner one securing the seal to the drum and establish how this is secured. It may be necessary to loosen a clip, or you may be able to prise the band off with a flat-bladed screwdriver. Some are like very large Jubilee clips that you have to undo usually from the top.
3 Once the clamp bands have been removed, use both hands to pull the seal away from the inner drum rim. Some machines have a water spout holes that will have to be lined up. Others have a drain holes.
4 Rubbing a drop of washing up liquid into the groove on the door seal/gasket that locates on the drum makes fitting the new seal easier.
5 the new washing machine door seal should be fitted by locating the drain holes at the bottom of the seal first then push it on with both hands working opposite directions towards the top. This is quite hard if you have never done it before.
6 refit the inner band remembering this must be tensioned correctly for it to be water tight.
7 now fit the outer band and the test the machine for any leaks,

LG top load true balance washing machine is ripping my towels. Clothes have not been ripped just the bath towels

That is the problem with top loaders, central agitators and long items like towels, They get tangled and tear. It is also likely that your towels are worn out.

To wash successfully, you need a lot of water and only 3 or 4 towels.

Front loaders don't do that and uses a tenth of the water and energy to heat that water.

My towels are coming out of the wash frayed and coarse. My lighter cottons are all stretched out. What is causes this to happen and how do I repair it.

Hi

If your washer has developed a bad habit of snagging and/or tearing your clothes; before scrapping your washer, try these few tips:

1) Check, by hand, the smoothness of your washer. Look for any broken fins or roughness on the basket surface. Replace, if necessary.

2) Reduce the size of your loads. Heavy, cramped loads can cause a lot of friction which leads to tears.

3) Reduce the amount of bleach used. Bleach can eat holes in clothing.

4) Verify water level is not too low, especially during rinse cycle, where snags are more apt to occur.

5) Consider placing delicates in a garment wash bag

6) Front load washers have no center agitator, so they are less likely to tear clothes.

Please get back to us if you have further query or else please accept the solution.

My problem is the agiator tears my clothes what is wrong this does not happen everytime just sometime and ravels towels?

Perhaps you need to remove the agitator and look under it for objects that do not belong.
In the past I have found items of clothing and such.

Rips and tears in clothes

The washer could be developing a transmission problem. As the washer agitates, the plastic tub is suppose to remain still. If the transmission is starting to slip, it will also try to spin during the agitate cycle, thus making the clothes become tangled under the agitator.
