Picture is flipping

I recently wanted to view a movie and I was at the menu to change to full screen as I always do with no problem. After it hit the enter button the entire piture started to flip. Dont have a horizontal adjustment button and I cannot get it to stop. Any ideas on what to do? The player is only 2 years old. It is a Koss DVD player.

I have the same problem. Koss KD 305 dvd player. I was checking the set up menu and I think I pressed OK on the PAL/NTSC button.
Now the picture rolls down horizontally.

I've disconnected it the AC cord many times, but it won't "reset".

    Any advice? Thanks

As your DVD is screenless I think you see it on a TV or monitor.Pls make sure the company LOGO is displaying. If the logo is coming--it means video processor is ok--if not try it with resoldering.

"it constantly stops and starts"while you are in the car(DVD"s fitted in your car)? If so, fit it with a shockproof like rubber. If the dvd is not fitted in a car then check the lens.

SOURCE: Need Infrared Remote Code...

I had the same problem and it took an act of Congress to solve it. However, I can tell you that through much more hard work and time than it should have taken I discovered the infrared code for my "One-For-All" remote model URC-4021B00 is--0651. Not sure if it's the same for any other remote control models, but give it a shot.

Password reset code

Instructions
    • 1
Turn on the cell phone. If it's locked, use the current PIN number to unlock it.

    • 2
Navigate to the "Settings" screen, or to a screen of the same significance. Different phones will have different names for screens, but the security features are always available on the screen that allows users to change the settings.

    • 3
Open the "Security" menu. On this menu, you will probably be able to view your passwords and information about your phone, such as the email address you were given by your service provider and your phone number.

    • 4
Enter the menu that allows you to view and change your password.

    • 5
To change your password, you'll first have to enter your current password. You'll then need to enter your new password and confirm it. Make sure the new password is something you can easily remember. If you lock your phone and forget your password, you'll have to enter your phone's PIN Unblocking Key (PUK) or call your cellular service provider to get an unlock code, either of which can be a hassle.

God bless you

How to insert video in the PowerPoint 2003?

Insert a movie and play it automatically
In PowerPoint 2003, you can run your movies full screen. This is a very excellent feature.
  • On the Insert menu, point to Movies and Sounds, and then click Movie from File.
  • Click the video you want to use and then click OK.
  • Tips: Always put the movie in the same folder as your PowerPoint presentation. If you later move the PowerPoint presentation to another computer, copy the movie too. Keeping your movie in the same folder as your presentation ensures the link will still work. However, you should always test the movie on a new machine just to be certain. Re-insert the movie, if necessary.
  • After you click OK, you' are promoted with a message asking how you want the movie to start in the slide show.

  • 44fc8c6.gif

I recommend choosing Automatically even if you want the movie to play when clicked- I will talk about how to set this part too. (If you choose when clicked you have to click the black box to start the movie. Because I don't like to show the black box on the slide, I do this a little differently.)

  • You should now have a small rectangle sitting on your slide.
    d62d46e.gif

  • Insert a movie using a file on your computer or in another location, such as a server.
  • The movie appears as a still frame on your slide.
  • The trick I use is to move that rectangle off the slide, so it is sitting next to it, but not on it. You can size it down if you like. Click the movie (that is, the rectangle) and then drag it off the slide.
    b2702b0.gif

    Play the movie full screen
  • Right-click the movie object (the small rectangle) and on the shortcut menu, click Edit Movie Object.
  • The Movie Options dialog box appears. Under Display Options, select the Zoom to full screen check box, and then click OK.
    4ceb182.gif
  • If you want your movie to play automatically when you advance to this slide, you can stop here.
Test this now to see how it workd by starting the slide show. (On the Slide Show menu, click View Show.) Advance to the slide with the movie, (best if you have the title of the movie on it). Within a couple of seconds, the movie starts to play full screen. When the movie finishes, you return to the same slide (but no unsightly box appears). Click to advance to your next slide.

Add an On Click effect to start the movie
If you prefer, you can click to start the movie. This requires one more step, setting an On Click animation effect.
1. On the Slide Show menu, click Custom Animation. The Custom Animation task pane appears on the right side of the PowerPoint window.

2. Click the movie object (the rectangle) to select it.

3. In the Custom Animation task pane, click Add Effect, point to Entrance and then click Appear.
74b0140.gif
You have added an On Click effect. The animation effect you added is the one with the Green star next to it and a gray rectangle around it. If it doesn't have a gray rectangle, click it to select it. Your Custom Animation task pane should look like the picture below (except with the name of your movie in the list).

c6baa5b.gif
4. The last step is to move that animation up to the top of the effects list.
To do this, make sure the animation effect is selected, and then click the Up Re-order arrow at the bottom of the Custom Animation task pane. Or simply click and drag the animation effect to the top of the effects list.

5. Your effects list should now look like this:
b128f39.gif

6. You are done. Test this to make sure it works by starting the slide show.
(On the Slide Show menu, click View Show.) When you advance to the slide with the movie, you should not see the movie. When you click the slide, the movie zooms to full screen and plays. When it finishes playing, you are returned to the same slide. Click to advance to the next slide.

Can't watch movies in full screen view when running on battery

It might be on a power saving plan. You can change it if you want to but running it on battery while watching movies will drain the battery fast. Anyway, right-click the battery icon on lower right of the screen or search for power options. You can see what plans your laptop is saved to. Choose balanced or high performance or recommended settings.

4.14.1 Understanding Viewing Features
Your LCD HDTV features four viewing modes and Picture-In-Picture (PIP)/Picture-by-Picture (POP) mode.
You can switch viewing modes using the remote control.
4.14.2 Viewing Modes
Normal Mode
The original 4:3 aspect ratio (1.33:1 source) is preserved, so black bars are
added to the left and right of the display image. Standard TV broadcasts are
displayed with a 4:3 Aspect Ratio. Movies in 4:3 Aspect Ratio may be referred
to as pan-and-scan or full frame. These movies were originally filmed in 16:9
(widescreen), and then modified to fit a traditional TV screen (4:3).
Wide Mode
When watching a standard broadcast or full-frame movie in this mode,
the display image is stretched proportionately to fill the TV screen.
When watching a widescreen (1.78:1 source) program or movie, the
display image fills the TV screen. If you are watching a widescreen
(1.85:1 or 2.35:1 source) program or movie, there will still be black
bars at the top and bottom.
Zoom Mode
When watching a widescreen (1.78:1, 1.85:1, or 2.35:1 source)
program or movie, the display image is zoomed proportionally to fill the
width of the screen. The top and bottom are cut off to remove most of
the source material’s black bars. This mode is good for programs or
movies with sub-titles.
Panoramic Mode
When watching a standard broadcast or full frame movie in this mode,
the 4:3 Aspect Ratio (1.33:1 source) display image is stretched
horizontally on the left and right sides to fill the TV screen. The center
of the image is not stretched.

Note: Viewing modes are saved based on input. For example, you lasted watched a DVD in widescreen
mode and then watched TV in standard mode. When you switch back to DVD input, the viewing mode
will return to widescreen.

I had the same problem with my westinghouse 47 inch HDTV. It turned out that someone had inadvertently hit the "format" key on my satellite (Direct TV) TV remote controller. If you have satellite TV you might want to check this out. I set it back to the previous setting and I get the entire screen. Hope this helps someone.

Polaroid 0722 Player

On most of the set top DVD players you use the monitor button or the remote control menu button to access the mode that flips the display (invert). The mode is for those who mount the units to the ceiling of a vehicle for rear passengers to view. You might have to have a DVD playing at the time or just loaded in the stop mode to access the feature.
