SOURCE: how to reset lamp hours

Supposedly the lamp has a chip that keeps track of the used time. The manual says to check in the instructions that came with the lamp. Others say that LG will not reveal how to do it. Perhaps you could ring LG service and give them your machine serial number and request that as the owner you want the correct information.

Toshiba TDP-P9 Lamp time reset

Hi,
I had sleepless nights with my customers TDP-P9 projector where I changed the lamp.
The lamp timer resetting gave me headache but now I finally solved the right combo:
1: Unplug the power cord
2: Hold down 'On/standby' 'Input' and 'up arrow'
3: While keeping the buttons pressed, insert the power cord and wait for the projectors led's to flash briefly and then power button to keep illuminated and then starting to blink.
4: Release the buttons and power on, it should now have 0 hours in the timer.

I have a model and swapped the T45U projector lamp, the projector turns on, but in a few seconds it shuts off, and turns on the LED "Temp" what can this be?

hi,
First of all check the lamp hour . Reset the lamp hour and try again. It is recommended that reset lamp hour only after replacing the lamp. No matter, just reset the lamp hour. If problem doen't repeat the try to replace lamp.
Another possible problem is the faulty lamp cooling fan. Check the lamp cooling fan of your projector. maybe its has some problem.Do one thing, Remove the fan from the projector. In the fan there will be a specification sticker. Remove the sicker. now u can see a hole in the center. its the bearing part of the fan. put one drop of oil in it. u can use any type of lubricating oil. rotate the fan leafs with finger for some time. after that re-stick the spec sticker. insert the fan in the projector.

Toshiba TDP S8 projector shuts down suddenly

The reason why the projector is shutting off is so the lamp doesn't explode. It's more of a safety feature on the projector, you can reset the lamp and it might work for another 500hours. If the picture is still pretty bright I can get you the reset procedure, but be warn that when the lamp does eventually blow it could shatter the glass inside, so be careful, it shouldn't hurt the unit.
