I just bought a marantz nr 1402 receiver with two definitive speakers and a boston acoustics subwoofer. The subwoofer tested and sound came out of it but when i turn the system on the subwoofer doesn't work. I need help!!!!
You need to make sure the sub is plugged into the sub pre out connector. Not the the sub out. You might also have to go to the user menu and tell the unit that you are using a sub.

sounds like you might need to open it up and check the speaker wires that you plug your speakers up to it might be lose or something else like that cause it happened to me before and that was it.
