I just got done replacing my toner.  You'll need to change toner and most likely all of them. There is no other solution.  I refill mine by buying the bottle toners.  It can be messy and you'll need to take some parts off the cartridge to get to the opening plug and reset the lever so that the printer knows the cartridge is full.  It is cheaper than buying a toner. The cartridge has a life of about three refills.  Anyway hope this answers your problem.

Lines are caused by a dirty (sometimes non-seeable) layer of dust on the scanner glass screen. Use newspaper and glass cleaner and gently clean all sides and around glass. be sure and get the little glass where the paper is placed to make copys (hidden but there).
