SOURCE: Network Error on display
If you’re getting this on both machines, it is your network...
There a few possibilities...
1. SMTP / DNS Info. Is that correct? Your It can help with this?
go to the Nic page of the machine (IP Address in win explorer) , go to admin page, which the pass word should be sharp , look for the network settings. look at both the smtp info and the gateway and dns info.. Verify that it is correct.
2. Have you changed your Internet Service Provider?
For example, Comcast is making a habit of blocking port 25. Embarq DNS information is a mess, their mail relay is a real hassle.
3. E Mail server information changed? Does your server require authentication, is the Time out set correctly?
Posting the correct codes really help in resolving these issues
Below are a few of the codes...
CE 01 The network card is not installed or broken
CE 02 the specified mail server is server is not found.
CE 03 The specified server suspends response during Transmission of images.

Try reseting the the error in service mode.

Using Internet Browser access to the Printer/scanner, accessing Network settings, I noticed that the "Connection Test", (below the SMTP Settings), would not go through when SMTP Authentification was set to "ON". Turning it "OFF" allowed the connection test to succeed, but did not change the error code.
However, adding a secondary SMTP Server, allowed it to go through, (leaving SMTP Authentication set to "ON").
Good Luck
