RIDGID: 18V 8.0 Ah Rapid MAX charger flashes red and green at the same time. Why is this please?

Question edited for clarity and correct spelling of the maker.

Here is the manual section on the LED Lighting sequence. Both Red and Green flashing is not there. Your charger has a model number on the bottom of it and you didn't supply that, so this may be the wrong charger!

Nov 21, 2019 - Red flashing means the charger or battery is to hot and must cool down before it will charge. The charger will not charge a battery if the lights are flashing.

I just bought a Digipower model TC-U450 and am trying to charge a Nikon EN-EL20. My battery has 4 contact points but there are only 2 prongs on the charger. How do I charge my battery with this charger?

The battery has 4 contact points, but there are only 2 that are charge points. The + (pos) and - (neg) are the ones you need to adjust the charger contact points to make connection with.

Digipower tc-5000 does not charge 7.4V Li-ion for Lumix fz 47

In that case, you are not using the correct charger for the battery, which could cause it to explode.

How can you tell when the batteries are fully charged?

If the unit in the picture is the same one as you have, the green light on it will come on when the batteries are charged and ready for use, let me know if this is accurate.

I have a digipower lithium power charger TC-U100 and cannot get my Casio NP-60 battery to charge in it. Am I inserting it wrong?

Maybe. This unit charges all different kinds of batteries, but that requires you to make sure that you have set the prongs in the right position to connect with the particular battery you are charging. You move two pins to align with the outer contacts on your battery (not the middle one) and then a spring door holds the battery against them. The unit sets the polarity automatically. 4 lights blink green until the battery is fully charged at 4 solid lights, i.e. 1 blinking light is a quarter charged.

Im trying to charge my sony np-bg1 battery with the digipower travel charger. from my understanding, in the user guide it says that when a battery is charging the light will be red. well i have the battery...

I recently purchased the same exact charger for the same exact battery....I had to slide the battery in backwards to align the positive and negative and then it should charge properly. If you slide it in the other way which seems to be the front side of the battery the light will automatically appear green same as if no battery was in the charger. This is because its not aligned to the positive and negative from the battery to the charger. Best Wishes!

How do I place 2 batteries in charger instead 0f 4?

Hello. Just place the two batteries together at the far left, or at the far right to charge them.. Just do not place them in the middle, or with an empty space between them. here is a link to the instruction sheet for your future reference http://data.energizer.com/PDFs/chdc_instructions_english.pdf

Motorola CP040 charging time

The rapid rate charger WPLN41__ will typically charge a battery in 90-120 minutes. Your battery should be depleted or nearly depleted when you place it in the charging stand. Be certain your radio is always turned off, when charging an attached battery. The NiMH battery will generally go 12-16 hours on a charge when new. If you work an eight hour shift, you might see if the radio will go 2 days on a charge. Later as the battery ages, you will need to charge it nightly. (Think of putting it in the charger as putting it to bed at night.)

Rapid charging is necessary on NiMH and Li-Ion batteries. They require a "hotter" charger, a fast rate, to completely charge the battery. It will not harm this chemistry of battery. It is safe to leave the battery on the charger overnight, or for a weekend. We would not recommend leaving the battery on the charger longer periods of time, as that will age the battery and reduce its life.

(Sidenote: Frequent rapid charging will however reduce the life of a NiCD battery.)
