Update right and left pannel please turn off what problem

To start with try a master reset, whilst the instrument is off press and hold the top (highest) sounding key whilst turning on.
When the screen displays Yamaha release the top key.
If this doesn't solve the issue then it could be a number of things as the keyboard does a self check on startup and will hang if a fault is found. Check each rubber switch is not stuck down or even missing this can cause this issue. Please report back either way.

Hello, You may want to reset your machine, all data and pre loaded programs, for this you must turn on your M50 press the global mode button, click on the top arrow next to (basic) select option 2, load pre-preloaded demo data, you then choose all (PCG and demo songs). press OK. Your Korg will re install all factory samples, data and settings. Once completed It will then instruct you to turn off your machine. give it a minute or so to self upgrade before turning it back on, once you turn it back on you should see updating panel notifications right and left, you should be able to use all of the sounds and combi's available for M50. that's a factory reset. This is a midi lockup problem with conflict somewhere in your setup. Have you switched midi local off on the keyboard?

That is a good detailed description. The factory reset is a good idea.

It sounds like a corrupted firmware. 12 volt instead of 9 volt is not a big overload, depending on the design. The fact that the adapter was very hot points to a serious electronic fault perhaps occuring. If the amp rating of the 12 volt one is adequate, this is probably the case. The 12 volt adapter could also get very hot if it is under rated for the job, which gives no real information about the fault.

It is possible that the electrolytic capacitors in the power supply could have been stressed and the power supply is now inadequate. The service manual would be handy in this scenario. If the digital electronics is corrupt or damaged, the chance of an economic fix is much less.

NEED TO REPLCE SOUND CONTROL BUTTON.

Several things to check:

If the speakers are cut off when externaal cables are connected to line outs, possibly the jack sensing switch for the right channel thinks that a plug is in there... you might cycle one in and out to see if that might fix.

Another thing is they LIKELY have a PAN control setting and it might be set full left. The external MP3 would NOT be under PAN control, only the keyboard voices would be affected by it.

Check you assign buttons and bottom (three black square buttons) and play with them. It sounds as if you are not sending to that side. You should use mono cables into left and right. I set pan on left all the way left and right, all the way right. Hope this helps.
