Hi!

If you have paired and connected the headset to your computer, then please do the following:

1. Sign in to Skype and in the TOOLS menu, select OPTIONS...
2. Under AUDIO SETTINGS, select your Bluetooth headset from the MICROPHONE, SPEAKERS and RINGING drop-down list.

Please let me know if it helped.

I have speakers and a logitec headset, they work independantly, but i was wondering if i could get them both to be enabled at the same time, sometimes when my friends are over i need the headset but i hate...

It depends upon your sound card capabilities. If you open the Volume/Audio Mixer via the notifications area, you should be able to call up the settings. Some (not all) cards allow for the simultaneous enabling of both headphones and speakers via a setting in that area. The predominant default, however, is not. The assumption of course is that if you're using the headphones you don't want the speakers.

Hope that's helpful.

I am getting a large amount of audio feedback (pulsing) when using skype and the logitech C500 webcam. The noise may not occur the first time I connect, but almost always occurs when I reconnect. Shutting...

You do not say if you are using a laptop with built in speakers or desktop with add on speakers. Also no indication of your OS.
I think the first thing you need to try is using a headset to cut out the possibility of 'feedback'
Check out your audio set-up

Typical audio set up

Laptop x webcam/mic x Vista x Skype
If you have an earlier OS, you may have to access your hardware from the Control Panel.

TEST SPEAKERS
Right click on speaker icon in System Tray
Select "Playback Devices"
The speaker icon ( checked as working) and volume level graph should be visible
Right click on the volume graph and click "Test"
Left hand speakers followed by right hand should be heard

SET DEFAULT & TEST MIC
Click "Recording" tab.
To set required mic as default - click on mic font to highlight and click "Properties"
In lower dropbox display "Use this device enable" click OK
Click "Levels" tab and ramp up sliders ( adjust to suit later)
Return to "Recording". Test mic by speaking and make sure volume graph displays

Restart computer

CONFIGURE TO SKYPE

Start Skype.
On the Tools menu, click 'Options'.
In the navigation pane of the Skype 'Options' window, click 'Audio Settings'
Set your speakers as default.
Select your webcam as the default microphone.
Click 'Save'

Lose webcam connection in Skype when using a headset

Have you checked the recording settings in Windows and in Skype? Try changing the default recording device to specifically indicate the device that has your headset plugged. I think the webcam also has a mic and that should not be selected.

Other thing to check is if there is some kind of resource conflict between your USB controller and audio card (use Device Manager).

Download audio codec for that. Go to this link:

Download it. When a box appears, Click Run button.
Unplug your headset jack. Try rebooting your computer. Replug your headset jack.

No sound from my Logitech headset when on SKYPE

Maybe you need to select which Audio device you are using within Skype. It the Settings under Audio you should be able to select the default audio device that Skype talks to. If you set it to the USB headset, it might work properly.

Head set problem with vista

you will need to go into the sound manager in control panel and make sure that the external mic is enabled as the default use and ensure in the sound settings that the mic is not muted, this is normally done by right clicking the speaker icon in the taskbar and selecting options and see if the mic is muted or not in the properties

Cant talk

Try going to Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices Click on Voice Tab and make sure the proper device is selected. Click on Volume and make sure levels are appropriate. Lastly, click on Test Hardware and wait until you can speak into the mic to see the voice levels. If you can see the voice levels, then your mic probably works and it is just an issue of configing the COD settings. goodl luck
