I was looking to eliminate cable so I hooked up a Clearstream 2 HDTV Antenna to the main cable connection outside my house to run to 2 TVs (32" Vizio VX32L and 19" Vizio). Changed input to antenna, ran a channel scan, picked up 50 channels on each TV. Couple of minutes later the picture froze on the 32" Vizio and my controls no longer worked on remote or on side of TV. Unplugged TV, plugged back in and pressed power button - Vizio logo turns bright white, is see a bit of backlight on the screen, then Vizio logo slowly fades in brightness until it is unlit. Still none of the controls work on the TV or remote. I had to unplug again. Repeated several times with same result. Switched back to cable and same result. 19" tv continued to work fine through all of this. Called customer service, they had me unplug, hold power button down for 30 seconds then plug back in. The issue remained. 32" is abut 5-6 years old so out of warranty. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot?

could it be Ch 9's digital signal is not broadcasting right? what is your refresh rate on your tv? 60 or 120hz? if its 120hz, then its more then likely the digital broadcast, if its 60hz I think its your tv can't keep up with their signal that may be at 120hz. Make since??

I took it in to. Repair shop. They said it needed a new main board. $220 for the to replace it. Said their cost was $160 for the m/b. sound fair? Likely not going to do it since I could get a new 32" for just Abu more than that.
