Vizio 32" Froze, then no more picture or sound

I was looking to eliminate cable so I hooked up a Clearstream 2 HDTV Antenna to the main cable connection outside my house to run to 2 TVs (32" Vizio VX32L and 19" Vizio). Changed input to antenna, ran a channel scan, picked up 50 channels on each TV. Couple of minutes later the picture froze on the 32" Vizio and my controls no longer worked on remote or on side of TV. Unplugged TV, plugged back in and pressed power button - Vizio logo turns bright white, is see a bit of backlight on the screen, then Vizio logo slowly fades in brightness until it is unlit. Still none of the controls work on the TV or remote. I had to unplug again. Repeated several times with same result. Switched back to cable and same result. 19" tv continued to work fine through all of this. Called customer service, they had me unplug, hold power button down for 30 seconds then plug back in. The issue remained. 32" is abut 5-6 years old so out of warranty. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot?

I took it in to. Repair shop. They said it needed a new main board. $220 for the to replace it. Said their cost was $160 for the m/b. sound fair? Likely not going to do it since I could get a new 32" for just Abu more than that.

Left it unplugged for 12 hours. Plugged it in and still same issue. Can hear a slight buzzing noise inside the unit.

SOURCE: 47" Vizio Flat screen HD LCD freezes up and remote will not work.

could it be Ch 9's digital signal is not broadcasting right? what is your refresh rate on your tv? 60 or 120hz? if its 120hz, then its more then likely the digital broadcast, if its 60hz I think its your tv can't keep up with their signal that may be at 120hz. Make since??

What is the best indoor antenna

There are many that work well but it will depend on your environmental conditions. Proximity to the wall, windows, etc.

A good one to consider is the RCA ANT3ME1.

I can get sound, but no picture when I have my laptop hooked up to my tv (a Vizio). How can I solve this problem?

you might have to change your screen resolution on the laptop, it's possible that it is set too high.

No imaging, have sound, backlight, etc.

It may be an input cable problem. Check hdmi and or coax cables to make sure they are not damaged . If you have another tv hook cables up to it to make sure they are working. Hope this helps.

VIZIO tv has picture but no sound

The main board is having an issue the AV inputs will eventually fail as well the HDMI are first to fail. Replacing the main board should solve the issue. You can get the replacement main board from www.tvcircuitboards.com

Vizio e32ova no sound

Get a professional diagnoses on the set. My first guess would be a defective main board but issue could be power supply related as well.

What cables do you need to connect a dvd player to a vizio hdtv

If your dvd player has a hdmi hook up "easy" just use 1 hdmi cable from the dvd player to the tv. If not use the 5 cord for better picture quality.

I can't scan DTV channels on my vizio 52''

do you have antenna or cable? if you have antena hook directly to the coax, go to menu, TV, tuner and pick antenna and scan. If you have cable hook directly to your coax repeat the previous step but pick cable instead of antenna. Notice if you have a cable box, you will not need to scan for channel since it will be on channel 3, 4 or any other input you may use.
