Infuser stuck in down position - removed when power was off and wrongly attempted to insert when power was on, it began making a screeching noise and I unplugged. it now is stuck and give generic alarm and shuts off.
I open up sides and can see no access to the mechanical section which is stuck I am out of warranty.
My infuser was stuck in the down position, When I called customer support the told me some easy steps to fix this problem..try calling them
Turn the machine off with the power botton at the front, the main switch at the back should be on. Then disconnect the power cable and reconnect it. The machine resets. This worked for me.
If you remove the bottom cover (special ***** driver tip required but easily purchased) you can turn the infuser lifting shaft to lower the infuser so that it no longer stuck. There is a lot of turning required for small infuser movement. This may allow the machine to reset itself when turned on. You can also access the shaft from the back (more difficult) but the cover is harder to remove unless you know how.

this is a well maintain machine and it often give the generic alarm. I have to unplug and plug many times in order for it to operate.
I have the same problem, looking inside I see major spark on the infuser motor at self diagnosis stage for millisecs only , removed brushes , lubricated infuser and even tried motor without any load - but still same problem . Measured 18V AC which seems a bit low given 230V mentioned on the motor, however I have no way on confirming - Can someone help?
leave the drip tray out, just put the used coffee grinds dispenser back in, close the front door and turn machine on. It should release the infuser so that you can take it back out, and then put it back in properly.
Cameo, you are awesome! Thanks... totally resolved the issue. Coffee maker now working as normal.
