I have recently bought a new logitech (c270)webcam and have installed the software into my computer however the webcam will not function or the computer states that i need to troubleshoot it as it isnt working properly so i believe that the problem isnt with the new webcam it is however with this laptop.i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling this software however the results are unaffected. how can i get my 2007 toshiba satellite with windows xp to recognize and allow my webcam to work properly?
I ran into the same problem you did with my Toshiba running XP windows, I got my son who has his A certification in computers and it took him 4 hours to get it to work. I suggest you go to www.logitech.com contact customer support and the technical department.

mine is a135 s2386,bios version 1.4, same problem
SOURCE: Toshiba Satellite Touchpad not working
Restore the defaults in the BIOS to begin with, this will make sure its not a setting in there that is disabling the mousepad.
Then in windows see if the touchpad is working. If not then take the keyboard out with the power turned off.
When you take the keyboard out you will see the ribbon cable that comes from underneath the touchpad. disconnect it from the motherboard and reseat it firmly back in. Then turn back on the motherboard and see if the mousepad works. If it still doesn't then try the shortcut key to enable it.
If it does't enable then that means its either going to be a mousepad problem where you would have to replace the top cover assembly or a motherboard problem cause it could be where the voltage required to run that mousepad is missing.

it could be that the software for the cam does not support the new upgrade..

Have you installed the driver for the router that you are using or using the inbuilt windows program to search for your wireless network?
If windows, are you searching all channels or is it set to only find unsecure networks whilst i assume yours is secure?
