I have a Philips 710 Transcription System but have no manual. Please can you let me know how to delete the data of a tape once I have extracted what I need.
You are able to erase tapes on this machine by holding down the play and rewind buttons together. To clear the entire cassette, you'll need to physically turn the tape over and repeat.

There is no erase function on this model. You will need a tape eraser available at http://www.dictationmall.com/me20.html
Actually rewind is for backward erase. Play and wind is forward erase. Also the 710 manual is available here:
