Pioneers are subs u have to be careful with, some subs are made for ported boxes and some arent, check if it is, tham if it is it should b tuned to about 35hz-45hz.

Just get 2pi amp pros at1200 watts. That way u have full control of the bass u need. Just remember to turn the amps down the subs are a little under rated. Done this myself and it is a great sous. There not a good pro sub but they will do the job in a mid size car
conect one of the positive terminal from the sub directli to one chanel of the amp, and do the same with the negative, and do the same with the others terminals from the sub conect to the other chanel
I have had the same problem that you are having right now. I basically don't know how to start making my own sub box. Well, I chose the Bass-reflex type Box. This the best. Check this link out for a detailed overview of sub box making. http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/article/1789/build-your-own-10-inch-subwoofer/
it has a detector that kicks in it will usually shut off your amp and it keeps you from blowing your amp the speaker may have to much power and amp may not push it it will start to protect itself
First of all check impedence of the subwoofer and how many voice coils it is. Go to www.the12volt.com click on subwoofer wiring diagrams then you check the load that your amp is stable at. Then wire it that way. Easiest way is to print out the diagram then take it actually out to the sub and box for reference.
On the Sub you have 4 connectors, 2 for each voice coil... Run a jumper wire from One side of the sub to the other. Positive to negative so that now you have one set of connectors free. Doing this will make the sub able to handle more cause you're using both voice coils. Thats how i've always hooked mine up when i have duel voice coil and they always last a long time. If you're gonna bridge the amp, make sure its turned down for about 5 or 6 hours to let the sub break in.
If they have the same impedence (like 4 ohm) then you should be able to
run two different model number speakers as if they were the same model
number. There might be a slight difference in the way they sound,
but I would not expect it to be enough to be noticeable. Good
luck.
