F1 and F3 error code when trying to self clean function

My model # PROGA CPES389AC.
I keep getting F1 error code when trying to Self clean and also whenever I turn the oven on.( not the burners) After 10 min. the alarm goes on and the F1 code appears. Couple times it was the F3 error. I bought my range in march 2002. is this a default? How can i fix this problem. It has been going on for about 3 years now. At the beginning it was from time to time but now, its almost every single time I turn my oven on....thanks....Eric

SOURCE: frigidaire electric stove keeps beeping

IF IT HAS A MECHANICAL CLOCK, THE START AND STOP TIMES NEED TO BE SET, THE OVEN CONTROL SET TO CLEAN, AND THE SELECTOR SWITCH SET TO CLEAN.
TO CLEAN NOW SET START TIME TO THE TIME ON THE CLOCK AND THE STOP TIME TO 3 HOURS LATER.
LOCK THE DOOR. IT SHOULD START AND THE CLEAN LIGHT SHOULD ILLUMINATE, OR OVEN ON LAMP SHOULD LIGHT.
IF IT STILL DOESN'T WORK, THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE CLOCK OR THE CONTROLS OR THE LOCK ASSEMBLY.
A WIRING DIAGRAM WOULD BE BEST FOR DIAGNOSING THE PROBLEM.

Looks like yours is a bad oven control. There is a # at the end of yourmodel # 0-5 that will determine which control it takes. Once you havethat # you can look it up at http://www3.sears.com/ Looks like the part costs about $165.

Frigidaire during cleaning F1 error,

F1 means its your electronic control and it will probably cost you the same amount to get this problem fixed again. The part is usually $350 plus.

When trying to pre-heat my oven, It won't until serveral attempts later (maybe 10 ). Then, after baking and stopping the oven, I get an F1 error! What's going on?

Hi,

F1 is listed as "Element Relay circuit Failure".

There will be a current switching relay to the oven - which is faulty - hence why you get the error when it realises it's not working.

This should be replaced to solve future problems.

For your reference, the fault codes are -
F0 Touch pad stuck in depressed position
F1 Element relay circuit failure
F2 Oven temp exceeded the clean runaway temp (self clean) -or- runaway temp (cooking modes)
F3 Short circu!t in oven temp sensor
F4 Open circuit in oven temp sensor
F5 - N/A
F6 Failure in the EEPROM check comparison (only time of day and timer will operate)
F7 Failure of Sef-C1ean auto door latch circuit.
F8 Failure of the door latch motor. Occurs when the motor runs for two minutes without the door locking Self-Clean mode.

If this resolves the issue, Please rate accordingly. Thank you.
