this a internal sensor error, needs to be replaced. send to repair center.

#9 will actually delete the firmware on your printer from the sounds of it you unfortunately fried the hardware
try doing a #6 but never do a#9

First try to get a factory reset on this machine, it usually helps. If it is has a scanner on it then it is a possibility that the scanner bulb is faulty.

Unplug the power cable,connect the printer directly to the walljack and then re-connect the printer power cable.

my hp officejet 6310 printer just started displaying cartridge error. what should i do?

If align cartridges never goes away, you must replace all ink cartridges for a sucessful alignment..

I'm afraid i;ve never heard of align PAPER

Ok try unplugging the printer for about 15 minutes and plug it back in that will reset the printer and it should work fine.
