SOURCE: Brickmann 6440 Side burner puts out a good flame.

Reduction in flame as more burners are turned on is usually a sign that the regulator is going bad, try replacing the hose and regulator.

SOURCE: Turkey fryer is burning rich

first check the gas regulator is the presher right? then try cleaning out all the pipe work and the burner jets i bet you have a dead spider stuck in the gas pipe as it enters the burners,,this would upset the air to gas mix,,so its running on a rich gas mix

Yellow flame means a 'not perfect' mix of gas and air. As long as it goes blue, then it's fine.

All burners on GE Profile mdl PGB930 stove suddenly started to burn with yellow flame. Also looking at the oven flames thru the door the light appears yellow. Is this an indication of a bad regulator?

Yellow flame is incomplete combustion. This can be due to poor air inlet or mixture. It is normally related to low air into the burner mix. Lint build up or grease can cause vents to reduce or block. A yellow flame is rich in co2, which has a direct link to higher co levels.

What color should the flame be on a propane fireplace insert---blue or yellow?

clean burn gas is a blue flame
it is achieved by using the correct jet size for the gas in use and by adjusting the air shroud around the jet opening
if you converted from natural gas to LPG and didn't change the jet size that is one reason
next there is a tin type shroud around the jet area that can be moved back or forward over the big hole that lets air to mix with the gas at the jet
the position of that shroud adjusts the air to gas ratio
If you are not sure of what I am talking about , talk with a gas fitter or have them do the job

Flame on main hob of range master 110 is yellow and smelly also black sooty deposit left on jets

Ream out all the orifices and air venturi holes on the burner, adjust the air-ahutter, the air-shutter is usually nearer the valve/knob than to the burner. Yellow flame is an imbalance of fuel to oxygen and is creating Carbon Monoxide and not burning cleanly... this is the same problem that can make a furnace deadly. Blue flame=neutral flame.

Pilot flame flickers when burners on and drops out valve

You should either do a smoke test or use a candle to check for drafts to be sure that it is not a gas pressure issue.

Left burner produces a normal blue flame, but the right burner produces a big yellow flame - how can I fix this?

Hi inomura...
Look at the left burner, pipe, air hole adjustment, etc because it is operating good.
You will see a difference to it compared to the on the right.
The right pipe, air hole, or the length the pipe that are iserted in the gas control valve is different from the left.
The yellow flame indicates that not enough air is getting to the flame getting to the right flame ignition point.
The left flame is nice and blue...normal, the right is yellow indicating that not enough air is getting to the flame ignition point...look to see if the air hole adjustment is different than the one on the left...there is something open more or less, improperly adjusted.
Once you have it adjusted properly the right flame will burn bright blue just as it does on the left.

What colour should your gas heater flame be

Hello,
It should be blue. If it's got orange tips, it's burning dust, If it's got yellow flames or tips, it may need the air shutter adjusted, regulator pressure adjusted, the vent unblocked or just a real good cleaning. Douglas

Bright yellow flame, can't adjust

Check your burner tubes for spider nests. Clean the burner assembly and check all the holes. Eric
