Try downloading and installing the audio driver.

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "HP Support" or "Compaq Support" or "Realtek Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Download and install the Audio drivers.

You can also try Driver Guide at:

http://www.driverguide.com

Try using the VLC Player. It comes with drivers and codec. I've seen it solve many sound and audio issues.

Try using VLC as your player. Go to www.google.com and in the search box type "download vlc" (without the quotes). Look for the Video Lan download from site www.videolan.org/vlc Download and install it. It downloads and installs in 3 minutes or so. It's a very fast player, smooth and it can play just about any type of dvd formats and media. It's totally FREE.

Audio outputs doesn't working

It sounds like a motherboard sound chip failure, although run a diagnostics on the sound, click Start>run, then type 'dxdiag', hit 'Enter' and run sound driver test. If it has failed, you can purchase a cheap PCI slot souncard and dissable your onboard sound, or a complete new motherboard.
