The drive belt for your Craftsman tractor is part #140218 from Sears, and is available at www.searspartsdirect.com for about $30 plus shipping. This belt measures 1/2" wide by 84.25" long and is constructed of an aramid/kevlar wrapping. It is very important that this drive belt be replaced with the correct belt. Installing an inferior constructed (raw edge) belt would cause premature belt wear. Installing an incorrect length belt would also cause damage.
While you have the deck removed and are replacing this belt, take time to inspect all of the pulleys for edge damage and spin all of the idler pulleys to make sure they have good bearings. If any of the idler pulleys don't spin freely, replace them before installing your new belt. A binding pulley will damage a belt very quickly.
