Freezer only freezing to 20 degrez

There is no reset for the alarm. The alarm goes off when you are not maintaining temperature.

During the time the door was ajar, warm air got into the freezer either icing up and locking the cooling fan or forming a block of ice on the cooling coils (Restricting cooling air flow.)

The best thing you can do, unless you want a $300.00 plus service call to defrost everything, is to turn power off to the freezer. Open the freezer door. Have plenty of old towels to soak up the water in the bottom of the freezer as it defrost.

You did not provide a model number which is located on the inside wall of the freezer. Every 8-10 hours your freezer will completely shout down for 20-30 minutes where only the light works and the defrost heater turns on. The ice build up is too much for the defrost heater to handle.

In some freezers the defrost mode is in the control board, in others it is a separate component that you can repeat trip using a flat head screw drive.

Hi! I am having this exact problem also. The best answer I have been able to discover is that it is related to the freezing up of the internal water tube that drains the fridge compartment into the freezer section. In addition, a pool of water freezes on the interior floor of my freezer and has to be manually chipped up and removed. I did try to unload the freezer and defrost it thoroughly, but it still happens and has to be chipped each week. I am still seeking a solution, but at least I can make the chiming stop by locking the temperature via the button on the front panel. Best wishes. If you discover a better or final soln, please post. Check the door is closing properly

the drain tube is most likely clogged. if the lower vent is freezing up there is no way to confirm because it is covered with ice. the reason water leaks onto the floor is, the refrigerator goes into defrost, frost melts and runs down the ice to the door. use a hair dryer to remove all ice, then use hot water to check drain. drain tube may be up to a foot long and may have a trap. you may have to go in through the back to gain access to the drain

Cut off the circuit. Everything runs on the system together so you may need to contact someone that knows what they are dong.

Sounds like the main control board to the unit needed to be reset and with the resetting it has caused a communication error with the door sensor. Contact a service tech to move forward with a repair.

sounds like the freezer probably over worked the compresser pull fridge bottom cover off and look for frost or the condenser fins might be on back if you see frost on either one you need to turn it off and let the frost melt then start it up again

You should unplugged and let all the ice melt and help it with a hair dryer.

you can take a ook into the freezer sect its possible that the line has frozen, nad no longer is defrost water going into the drain but rather falling on to the floor of freezer and evnetually out the door

Defected DEFROST HEATER can cause frost build up on the panel at the back of the freezer,and freezer stop cooling and ice frozen on unit so air could not flow to refrigerator side.Water will coming out caused of unbalanced freezing,and causing the flooding of water in the floor. You must change this defroster heater assembly so it will works normal again..
