After it stalls take the fuel cap off and put it back on and see if it starts, maybe the cap is bad or clogged and not letting air in to equalize the pressure of the fuel being used

What is the correct choke position (close/half open/open) AFTER successfuly starting a chainsaw on a half open? (Mcculloch M4620)

Once started and warmed up, then replace choke to run position. The choke will be completely open (non-restrictive).

I have a gx610 that runs nicely for about 3 minutes to 5 minutes then it stops FAST. Like very sudden. It wont start or crank again until a few minutes pass then it cranks, and a minute later or so it...

Check for plugged fuel tank vent. Vacuum builds up then fuel stops. Also check if it has a low oil presssure switch that might cut it off (check the oil level). This engine has many variations so finding a specific problem is not easy.

Kawasaki khd 600A hedge trimmer just wont start.it runs for a second and stops

Bit late to help the owner of this question and yes it could be a carbie issue but also check the idle speed. If it has dropped out of calibration and is idling too low it will start then stop. Try starting with some throttle, keep it running if you can until it warms up then let the throttle go back to idle. If it stops check to see if opening the idle screw solves it.

Is the choke opening up all the way after it warms completly up ? and have you checked the fuel lines to the gas tank they might have got pinched in wreck.

Hedge trimmer starts fine then stops after 5 minutes

Carburetor high speed adjustment ( screw nearest the filter ) open ( counterclockwise ) 1/2 turn.
Adjust again as needed to run when hot.
make sure the gas mixture ratio is as required.

Trans shifts very hard after 5 minutes of stop and go traffic

A reason for hard shifting could be a problem with many things with various degrees of seriousness. It could be your ATF( automatic transmission fluid) is low or broken down and old. This would cause the hardness and the reason for stop and go traffic effecting it. Another possibility is your transmission is just shot, and the timing gears inside are worn and not properly shifting at the correct RPM causing a **** during shifting.

Some possibilties, not all!
