I see so many here with no sound/nopicture issues:

ISSUES:

1. IF sound main fuse/s are good.
2. If no power or standby check main fuse, standby power supply and any signsof damage you can see---burnt parts etc.
3. almost all these sets the troubleshooting involves checking voltages on the main power board to narrow down theproblem.
4. Be safe and if you do not know what you are doing don't open the set.

Answers to issues:

1. RE:fuses---if a blown fuse is found get a good replacement(not the genericones like Radio Shack). Many fuses are special even aside from amperage--Don'tput a higher rated amperage fuse in the set for any reason.

2. RE: power supply in set: if total dead aside from main fuse the set uses astandby power supply that runs 7/24 and a main supply (some are combined andsome not.

Here aside from checking fuses you want to examine all the filter caps on thepower/standby to see if any are puffed up or buldged up in some fashion--Iattach a photo of a good one---top should be silver metal and PERFECTLY flatand have no brown material coming out on top or bottom.

What happens in the standby area is they use caps with too low a voltage rating(saves money) which causes them to fail in a year or two---the standby runs7/24 and the heat dries out the caps and they fail.

3. Trouble shooting consists of the above and then at some point you have to buyand try a board to see if it fixes it or not.

4. Safety first--no TV set is worth getting injured or even killed over.If set is opened at least look for puffed up and bad caps like in thisphoto.I have a Samsung PS50C451B2D that has not turned b - 5_31_2012_9_08_59_pm.jpg

if timer is not activated, your unit needs servicing.
have the power supply check first for output voltages it may not have enough to power up some of the circuits board.

My ddm4000 starts well but then flashing lights start and loss of control occurrs

I am not familiar with your unit but it sounds like the extension cord is connected to both the lights and mixer, if so use two extension cords. I have seen a lot of horror problems with undersized extension cords.

Good Luck

Focus hitachi 60fx32b was watching this tv and it suddenly turned off and wont power back on

Try to plug it into a different electrical socket and try it without any extension cords or power strips (sometimes the socket or extension cord is to blame)

Neighbor mowed the extension cord and mower won't start

Check the cord has been properly replaced. Check circuit with a meter (NOT connected to mains) The live pin on plug should connect to live pin on motor switch etc. (need to take off cover on switch unit)
Cutting through the cord should not have damaged the mower.

Pull cord on briggs & strtton wont retract back

If you don't know how you will need a manual, it is kind of tricky.
Remove the rope. Feed the spring from the outside of the housing and connect to the recoil housing. Turn the wheel using a 3/4 " rachet extension and the spring will feed ito the housing until the end of the spring connects to the ouside of the housing. Keep turning until the spring is tight, back off about 1/2 turn and feed the rope from the outside, be carful here, if the extecsion comes out the spring will uncoil and you get to start off all over again.

Iv a ps50c45ob1w with no volume. what might be the problem

before you consider it needing repair check a few things:

In menu of SET are SPEAKERS SWITCHED ON OR OFF?

Is volume on SET or a Box if used down or muted.

Does the set have an internal or external speaker switch?

last but not least does the set have sound when a DVD etc is connected via the rear audio and video jacks?

Samsung PS50C451B2D screen broken.

Forget it---The cost of a PDP (plasma display panel) easily will exceed the cost of the set when new---not to mention major labor to replace it.

Underneath the glass there is a thin film of metal that is half of the "connection" that gives you a picture. When you cracked the glass that connection may have been severed and in doing so killed the tv. Sorry about the news :(

Hi i am trying to work my 'component' on my samsung tv. How do i get this working

Component video input is a high quality analog video signal separated by the three prime colors, red green and blue. You will need component video cables to make this connection.

Turn the television off.

Plug the connectors of each coaxial cable into their corresponding terminals on the TV.

Plug the other end of the cable into your other device that is also using component video, such as a cable box, video game console or DVD player, etc.

Power on the TV.

Press "component" on the remote.

Power on the device.
