Lights will not turn off on Kichler model 35005

The lights will not turn off with the remote. The bulbs have to be unscrewed. Batteries were changed in remote, and fan works with the remote. Kichler Model 35005 type H

SOURCE: How to Change light bulb (yes, really...)

If yours is the same as the model 04890 that I looked up on the net, you will unscrew the center nut of the light fixture being carefull to not let the fixture drop to the floor. Once you have the center piece off you will be able to unscrew the bulbs and install new ones. Be carefull and be sure power is off before you do this.

SOURCE: hampton bay ceiling fan , model # 55295

I had the exact same problem. To solve it, I had a friend hold the area of the fan that the globe screws into. I wore rubber dish gloves to get a good grip and pushed up slightly on the globe as I turned counter-clockwise. My friend held the other part and turned clockwise a little as well. It took a lot of pressure for it to finally come loose and then we just turned it about another 90 degrees and the globe slips right out of the groove.

I couldn't believe how hard this was to do.

While holding the fan blades turn the light cover anti clock wise. That is turn the cover in the direction of the fan rotation.Make sure somebody helps you by holding the blades to prevent the top part of the fan from rotating while you attempt to remove the glass cover.

I cannot find any dip switches on the remote receiver. Kichler fan 35170 - receiver AC8.3.T

Auto correct messed up my previous response so I'll try again.

To change the frequency for the remote on Kitchler Barrington model IS 35170, they've made it the easiest of any I've ever seen.

All you do is this:
1. Open the remote (transmitter) and change any one of the DIP switches found inside.
2. Turn on the power to your fan
3. Press the button with the light icon on it (on the remote control) and hold it down (3 seconds or so) until the light on the fan flashes 3 times which confirms your new setting has been accepted.

That's it! You're good to go!

I need remote control for for kichler fan model # 35005

THIS ITEM NUMBER IS INCORRECT. THERE SHOULD BE ATLEAST 1 MORE NUMBER FOLLOWED BY A COUPLE OF LETTERS. IF YOU CAN POSSIBLY FIND THE CORRECT NUMBER I CAN HELP BY GETTING YOU A PART NUMBER FOR THE CORRECT REMOTE THAT WILL BE NEEDED. PART NUMBERS ON FANS ARE CONSISTENTLY FOUND ON THE CANOPY, THIS IS THE PART WHERE YOUR FAN MOUNTS TO THE CEILING. I CALLED OUR REP AT KICHLER AND SHE SAID THIS WAS AN INCOMPLETE NUMBER. HOW OLD IS THE FAN IN QUESTION? ITS POSSIBLE IT MAY BE DISCONTINUED IS WHY WE CANT COME UP WITH ANYTHING.

My remote control will only turn fan only, will turn light on and off but will not turn back on.

Check the conditon of cell (batteries) inside the remote. If requried, replace it with new one.

DT27 model won't turn on

1) DT27 timer is same as Kichler 15559.
I don't think either product is still available unless another company such as Brinks has taken over the design.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Intermatic-timers-and-manuals.html#DT27

2) Change LR44 batteries
And then reset timer by depressing reset button.
Reprogram.
Check light bulb is operable, and lamp switch is ON. Move timer to different outlet.
Check circuit breaker.
Plug in different lamp.
If functionality is not restored, then buy another timer such as Intermatic DT620 with lifetime warranty (shows just above DT27.)

3) Many timers today do not require battery and have internal rechargeable battery instead.
Timer designs change because CFL and LED bulbs are inductive loads, while many older timers were rated only for resistive loads such as incandescent bulbs.

Fan works, light works, but won't turn off

Sounds like that part of the multi-switch in the remote is either dirty or shot. Google for new remote for you model of fan
