Out of nowhere the needle on my Janome HD 3000 seems to be jammed into the clamp. I don't know if something is mis-aligned or what, but it is driving me batty. It shouldn't be so difficult to change a flipping needle. It may be worth noting that my automatic threader does not work. It's been broken since day one, but I've just dealt with it. Gah! Frustration!
It souds like the needle clamp needs to be checked, to see why
the needles are jammed in the needle clamp. it may need to be
replaced, a sewing machine shop can tell you for sure what's wrong

The small hook that passes through the eye of the needle is bent or broken. If it is only bent it can be straightened with a small screw driver. If it is broken it will need to be replaced. Most dealers can get this part for you for about $5.00

You won't even look at my problem unless I pay you money but you want me to tell you, for free, how I fixed the problem? Doesn't seem fair to me. I will post my solution on a free forum. Sorry to all you folks looking for the solution.
SOURCE: Janome MC 10001 auto. needle threader stuck in up position.
I have a Janome 10001 and the needle threader is stuck in the down position and I cannot get it up. Help, please !!!!
SOURCE: after I broke a needle the threader won't thread
Threaders only work with certain combinations of needle and threads. Too small an eye or too big a thread and its a no go. The book should give an idea of the combos you can do. Make sure the needle is inserted completerly up inside that needle clamp.
SOURCE: My bobbin keeps bunching up.
Put the tension back up to about 5. Rethread the machine entirely, and make sure you have the pressure foot in the up position when you rethread. If your getting bunching on the bottom, it's probably your top thread that's bunching up. After you rethread, put a small piece of fabric under the pressure foot, lower the pressure foot, and turn the handwheel in the forward direction and watch the thread as it comes around the bobbin case. If it goes around smoothly, try it with the foot control. If it hangs up as it goes around the bobbin case, you might have a burr on the black plastic bobbin case. Take it out, check for any burrs, sand them down, and try again.
