My Electrolux washing machine W4180N has faul error 6 (e6), how to fix the problem

the ecb ( electronic control board ) has detected a malfunction.
check all wiring to the ecb and replace if needed.

also try unplugging the machine for no less than 5 minutes to clear all codes to see if the problem is intermitent or not, hope this helps....

I'm sure nojallo1 has already fixed his but I just ran into the same problem and didn't find anything in my searches for a solution. The problem I had was the test cycle wasn't long enough to get hot water through my water lines so it could verify the hot and cold hoses were in the proper places. Solution: Turn the hot water on in all the sinks in your house until they have hot water running through them. This will prime your hot water line so it is full of hot water instead of cold water. Then run the install cycle again and it should be fine.

E50 is displayed if the there is no drum rotation. drum jammed not allowing motor to turn/ no circuit through motor(poss worn out carbon brushes) less likeley but poss short on motor relay on electronic board.
